EXOSC10, an essential nuclear RNA exosome‐associated 3′‐5′ exoribonuclease, is inhibited by the anticancer drug 5‐fluorouracil (5‐FU), and EXOSC10 depletion increases 5‐FU sensitivity. The colon‐cancer variant EXOSC10S402T, located in a proteolysis motif, is stable and nuclear but nonfunctional in vivo.

Investigating the Effect of Locus of Control, Sex and Age on Perceptions of Petty Crime
The present research investigated locus of control, sex and age to identify which influenced crime perceptions and to what extent. A 2 (internal versus external locus of control) x 2 (male versus female) x 3 (young, middle and older adult) between groups’

We analyze cisplatin–DNA adducts (CDAs) and double‐strand breaks (DSBs) in a cell‐cycle‐dependent manner. We find that CDAs form similarly across all cell cycle phases. DSBs arise only in S‐phase. CDAs might not directly impair DSB repair, but S‐phase DSB lesions evolve in the presence of CDAs and disrupt repair in G2, also causing radiosensitization ...

Verbal self-regulation of behavior by children with internal and external locus of control [PDF]
There was reason to suspect that individual differences in a child's tendency to employ symbolic mediation are predictable on the basis of his/her locus of control status. That is, children who possessed an internal locus of control are those most likely

Hijacking emergency granulopoiesis: Neutrophil ontogeny and reprogramming in cancer
Neutrophils are highly plastic innate immune cells; their functions in cancer extend beyond the tumour microenvironment. This Review summarises current understanding of neutrophil maturation and heterogeneity and highlights tumour‐induced granulopoiesis as a systemic programme that expands immature, immunosuppressive neutrophils via tumour‐derived ...

Intratumour heterogeneity complicates precision management of advanced endometrial cancer. Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) offers a minimally invasive strategy to capture tumor evolution and therapeutic resistance. Here, we compare tumor‐agnostic NGS with tumor‐informed ddPCR, outlining their relative sensitivity, concordance, and clinical implications ...

Circulating tumor cells (CTCs) and plasma cell‐free DNA (cfDNA) were analyzed to detect ESR1 mutations and methylation in patients with advanced breast cancer. CTC‐derived DNA showed higher sensitivity for mutation detection and revealed complementary genetic and epigenetic alterations, highlighting the added value of CTC analysis for understanding ...

Interpreting the effects of DNA polymerase variants at the structural level
Using MAVISp and molecular dynamics simulations, we analyzed over 60 000 missense variants in POLE and POLD1 from ClinVar, COSMIC, cBioPortal, and saturation mutagenesis. Identified mechanistic indicators, including stability, binding, and long‐range, enable structural interpretation, providing ACMG‐like evidence for possible reclassification of VUS ...
