Evaluating stream power distribution along river longitudinal profiles using Log S – log A plots
Study region: Eighteen main rivers in Taiwan. Study focus: This study focused on the analysis of total stream power (TSP) and specific stream power (SSP) along river longitudinal profiles, which are critical indicators of river dynamics.

Objective Immunothrombosis contributes to ischemic stroke pathophysiology through neutrophil extracellular trap (NET) formation, which promotes thrombus stabilization and microvascular dysfunction. DNase1 is the principal endonuclease responsible for NET degradation.

Log-concave poset inequalities
We study combinatorial inequalities for various classes of set systems: matroids, polymatroids, poset antimatroids, and interval greedoids. We prove log-concave inequal- ities for counting certain weighted feasible words, which generalize and extend several previous results establishing Mason conjectures for the numbers of independent sets of matroids.

Exergy and Economic Analysis of Hybrid Mechanical Vapor Compression and Membrane Distillation
ABSTRACT Hybridization of two or more desalination processes has been identified as an attractive option for improved energy efficiency and recovery rate. To appropriately assess the performance enhancement of hybrid desalination systems, an integrated approach for energy, exergy, economic, and environmental investigations should be adopted. This study

We develop a density ridge search algorithm based on a novel density ridge definition. This definition is based on a conditional variance matrix and the mode in the lower dimensional subspace. It is compared to the subspace constraint mean shift algorithm, based on the gradient and Hessian of the underlying probability density function.

Abstract The oval window (OW) is an opening connecting the inner and middle ear. Its area has been shown to consistently scale with body mass (BM) in primates, and has been used alongside semi‐circular canal (SCC) size to differentiate Homo sapiens and fossil hominins, including Paranthropus robustus.
