Generation of two normal and tumour (cancerous) paired human cell lines using an established tissue culture technique and their characterisation is described. Cell lines were characterised at cellular, protein, chromosome and gene expression levels and for HPV status.

Evaluation Completeness of Esophagus Cancer Registry in Ardabil using Log-Linear model
Background and Objectives: completeness of registration is used as one of the measures of the quality of a cancer registry, which is the degree to which reportable incident cases of cancer in the population of interest is actually recorded in the ...

We developed a cost‐effective methylation‐specific droplet digital PCR multiplex assay containing tissue‐conserved and tumor‐specific methylation markers. The assay can detect circulating tumor DNA with high accuracy in patients with localized and metastatic colorectal cancer.

Exploring the multidimensional nature of anthropometric indicators for under-five children in India
This study examined the multidimensional nature of the association of stunting, wasting, and underweight for children below 5 years of age in India using data from the National Family Health Survey (NFHS)-3 (2005-2006).

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Change-Point Detection in Multivariate Categorical Processes With Variable Selection
Statistical process control (SPC) has been widely used to control and improve the quality of products in manufacturing processes. Currently, a limited number of schemes is available for change-point detection in multivariate categorical processes (MCPs),

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

Summary Log-linear models are extensively used to analyse categorical and “stimulus-response” data. This paper gives an iterative procedure for obtaining maximum likelihood estimates of cell frequencies and of the parameters of a log-linear model in a multinomial experiment.

Effective therapeutic targeting of CTNNB1‐mutant hepatoblastoma with WNTinib
WNTinib, a Wnt/CTNNB1 inhibitor, was tested in hepatoblastoma (HB) experimental models. It delayed tumor growth and improved survival in CTNNB1‐mutant in vivo models. In organoids, WNTinib outperformed cisplatin and showed enhanced efficacy in combination therapy, supporting its potential as a targeted treatment for CTNNB1‐mutated HB.

Direction of effects in categorical variables: Looking inside the table
In the variable-oriented domain, direction of dependence analysis of metric variables is defined in terms of changes that the independent (or causal) variable has on the univariate distribution of the dependent variable. In this article, we take a person-
