Circulating tumor cells in metastatic breast cancer patients treated with immune checkpoint inhibitors – a biomarker analysis of the ALICE and ICON trials

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
In this explorative biomarker analysis, we assessed serial sampling of circulating tumor cells (CTCs) with CellSearch in two randomized trials testing immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) in metastatic breast cancer. Our data demonstrate a prognostic potential of CTCs, most apparent 4 weeks into ICI therapy.

Stability of Subsequent-to-Leading-Logarithm Corrections to the Effective Potential for Radiative Electroweak Symmetry Breaking

open access: yes, 2005
We demonstrate the stability under subsequent-to-leading logarithm corrections of the quartic scalar-field coupling constant $\lambda$ and the running Higgs boson mass obtained from the (initially massless) effective potential for radiatively broken ...

Next-to-Next-to-Leading Logarithm Resummation for S-Channel Single Top Quark Production [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
I present the next-to-next-to-leading-logarithm (NNLL) resummation of soft and collinear gluon corrections to single top quark production in the s channel.

On normal operator logarithms

open access: yesLinear Algebra and its Applications, 2013
Let $X,Y$ be normal bounded operators on a Hilbert space such that $e^X=e^Y$. If the spectra of $X$ and $Y$ are contained in the strip $\s$ of the complex plane defined by $|\Im(z)|\leq $, we show that $|X|=|Y|$. If $Y$ is only assumed to be bounded, then $|X|Y=Y|X|$.

Cellular liquid biopsy provides unique chances for disease monitoring, preclinical model generation and therapy adjustment in rare salivary gland cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
We quantified and cultured circulating tumor cells (CTCs) of 62 patients with various cancer types and generated CTC‐derived tumoroid models from two salivary gland cancer patients. Cellular liquid biopsy‐derived information enabled molecular genetic assessment of systemic disease heterogeneity and functional testing for therapy selection in both ...

Low circulating arachidonic acid is associated with macroalbuminuria in diabetic patients: a cross-sectional examination of the KAMOGAWA-DM cohort study

open access: yesBMC Nephrology, 2021
Background Diabetic nephropathy, a major complication of diabetes, is the primary risk factor for dialysis, cardiovascular diseases, and mortality. Dietary fatty acids (FAs) have been revealed to be related with cardiovascular diseases in the general ...

Circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories predict survival in trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The authors applied joint/mixed models that predict mortality of trifluridine/tipiracil‐treated metastatic colorectal cancer patients based on circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) trajectories. Patients at high risk of death could be spared aggressive therapy with the prospect of a higher quality of life in their remaining lifetime, whereas patients with a ...

A NEW PROPOSED METHOD FOR SOLVING AN ELLIPTIC CURVE DISCRETE LOGARITHM PROBLEM

open access: yesJournal of Kufa for Mathematics and Computer, 2012
In this work, we present a new approach for solving Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem. This method provides a new access to the field of attacking methods the Elliptic Curve Cryptosystems.

Aperiodic logarithmic signatures [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Cryptology, 2012
In this paper we propose a method to construct logarithmic signatures which are not amalgamated transversal and further do not even have a periodic block. The latter property was crucial for the successful attack on the system MST3 by Blackburn et al. [1]. The idea for our construction is based on the theory in Szab 's book about group factorizations [
