A novel quinazolinone insulin receptor inhibitor and its synergy with an EGFR inhibitor in glucose‐driven glioblastoma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The novel styrylquinazolinone‐based molecule W1B effectively suppresses glioblastoma by inhibiting IGF1R and EGFR. In high‐glucose microenvironments driving tumor resistance, W1B acts synergistically with the EGFR inhibitor dacomitinib. This combination safely blocks compensatory survival signaling in zebrafish xenograft models. Showcasing promising in

Simple proofs of certain inequalities with logarithmic coefficients of univalent functions

open access: yesResearches in Mathematics
In this paper, we give simple proofs for the bounds (some of them sharp) of the difference of the moduli of the second and the first logarithmic coefficient for the general class of univalent functions and for the class of convex univalent functions.

The Application of Data Transformations in the Calculation of a Composite Index of a System's Quality

open access: yesСовременные информационные технологии и IT-образование, 2021
The paper examines features of data used when calculating composite indexes of complex systems. Principal component analysis gives an objective summary of the dataset, but is sensitive to the quality of the data.

Analysing the significance of small conformational changes and low occupancy states in serial crystallographic data

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
This protocol paper outlines methods to establish the success of a time‐resolved serial crystallographic experiment, by means of statistical analysis of timepoint data in reciprocal space and models in real space. We show how to amplify the signal from excited states to visualise structural changes in successful experiments.

Logarithmic stability in determining a boundary coefficient in an IBVP for the wave equation

open access: yes, 2015
In [2] we introduced a method combining together an observability inequality and a spectral decomposition to get a logarithmic stability estimate for the inverse problem of determining both the potential and the damping coefficient in a dissipative wave ...

Fundamentals of the logarithmic measure for revealing multimodal diffusion [PDF]

open access: yes, 2021
We develop a theoretical foundation for a time-series analysis method suitable for revealing the spectrum of diffusion coefficients in mixed Brownian systems, for which no prior knowledge of particle distinction is required.

Molecular characterization of covRS mutations in M1UK Streptococcus pyogenes

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Group A Streptococcus (GAS) acquires covRS mutations driving a hypervirulent bacterial state, frequently associated with invasive disease‐like necrotizing fasciitis. We demonstrate that the newly emerged M1UK GAS lineage can also acquire these mutations.

GAD65 Antibody ELISA With Extended Reportable Range: Validation and Guidance for Neurological Practice

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To (1) validate GAD65‐ELISA detection and quantification for type 1 diabetes mellitus and autoimmune neurological diagnoses, (2) correlate ELISA results (reference range < 5 IU/mL) with established radioimmunoprecipitation assay (RIA; ≤ 0.02 nmol/L), and (3) define ELISA clinical utility and pitfalls.

Matching next-to-leading-order and high-energy-resummed calculations of heavy-quarkonium-hadroproduction cross sections

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2022
The energy dependence of the total hadroproduction cross section of pseudoscalar quarkonia is computed via matching Next-to-Leading Order (NLO) Collinear-Factorisation (CF) results with resummed higher-order corrections, proportional to α s n ln n − 1 $$

Wind Speed Analysis Method within WRF-ARW Tropical Cyclone Modeling

open access: yesJournal of Marine Science and Engineering, 2023
This paper presents an analysis of a new method for retrieving the parameters of the atmospheric boundary layer in hurricanes. This method is based on the approximation of the upper parabolic part of the wind speed profile and the retrieval of the lower ...
