A mechanically tunable hydrogel composed of gelatin, chondroitin sulfate and laminin promotes angiogenesis in vitro without the supplement of growth factors. Endothelial cells morphogenesis was further enhanced by medium conditioned with bioactive glass 58S‐released ions (Ca and Si), thus offering a promising strategy to vascularize 3D tissue ...

Universal relationship in gene-expression changes for cells in steady-growth state
Cells adapt to different conditions by altering a vast number of components, which is measurable using transcriptome analysis. Given that a cell undergoing steady growth is constrained to sustain each of its internal components, the abundance of all the ...

Multi‐metal Cu─Ce─Ag nanoparticles harness synergistic interactions to drive efficient electrochemical CO2 reduction reaction toward C2+ products at high current densities. Ag enhances CO production, Ce modulates Cu oxidation states, and together they boost *CO coverage and local pH to enhance C─C coupling, enabling record C2+ yields with suppressed ...

Upper large deviations for Branching Processes in Random Environment with heavy tails
Branching Processes in a Random Environment (BPREs) $(Z_n:n\geq0)$ are a generalization of Galton Watson processes where in each generation the reproduction law is picked randomly in an i.i.d. manner.

Charge Transport in Ternary Charge‐Transfer Solid Solution Single Crystals
This study deconvolutes the roles of indirect (superexchange) and direct electronic coupling on charge transport in single crystals of an organic charge‐transfer molecular semiconductor (OSC). This model system elegantly demonstrates that structural defects introduced by chemical dopants play a significant role in the electronic performance ...

A Feeding Strategy Based on Omics Analysis for Improving the Growth and Sporulation Efficiency of Bacillus licheniformis HW [PDF]
To study the limiting factors of cell growth and sporulation during the late stage of Bacillus licheniformis HW fermentation in a 30 L bioreactor, we analyzed the differences in the transcriptome and metabolome of strain HW at the middle (25 h) and late (

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.
