Scaling and Density of Lee-Yang Zeroes in the Four Dimensional Ising Model [PDF]
The scaling behaviour of the edge of the Lee--Yang zeroes in the four dimensional Ising model is analyzed. This model is believed to belong to the same universality class as the $\phi^4_4$ model which plays a central role in relativistic quantum field ...

N spike D-strings in AdS Space with mixed flux
We use Dirac-Born-Infeld action to study the spinning D-string in $$AdS_3 $$ AdS3 background in the presence of both NS-NS and RR fluxes. We compute the scaling relation between the energy (E) and spin (S) in the ‘long string limit’.

A number of recent studies used nominal pay in estimating the effects of individual differences, particularly core-self-evaluation, on career success. We show that this practice may lead to results that are substantively different from the results when ...

On logarithmic extensions of local scale-invariance
Ageing phenomena far from equilibrium naturally present dynamical scaling and in many situations this may generalised to local scale-invariance. Generically, the absence of time-translation-invariance implies that each scaling operator is characterised ...

Logarithmic Corrections and Finite-Size Scaling in the Two-Dimensional 4-State Potts Model [PDF]
We analyze the scaling and finite-size-scaling behavior of the two-dimensional 4-state Potts model. We find new multiplicative logarithmic corrections for the susceptibility, in addition to the already known ones for the specific heat.

Discrete scale invariance and its logarithmic extension [PDF]
It is known that discrete scale invariance leads to log-periodic corrections to scaling. We investigate the correlations of a system with discrete scale symmetry, discuss in detail possible extension of this symmetry such as translation and inversion, and find general forms for correlation functions.

Logarithmic Corrections to Scaling in the $XY_2$--Model [PDF]
We study the distribution of partition function zeroes for the $XY$--model in two dimensions. In particular we find the scaling behaviour of the end of the distribution of zeroes in the complex external magnetic field plane in the thermodynamic limit ...

Finite-size scaling for four-dimensional Higgs-Yukawa model near the Gaussian fixed point
We analyse finite-size scaling behaviour of a four-dimensional Higgs-Yukawa model near the Gaussian infrared fixed point. Through improving the mean-field scaling laws by solving one-loop renormalisation group equations, the triviality property of this ...
