PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Method and Experimental Study for Polarity Detection of Coil Systems in Three-Dimensional Induction Logging Tool

open access: yesCejing jishu
The three-component induction coil system is the core part of the three-dimensional induction tool, and the correct polarity detection is the necessary step to ensure the correct measurement of the three-dimensional induction tool.

Log-log convexity and backward uniqueness [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2007
We study backward uniqueness properties for equations of the form u' + Au = f. Under mild regularity assumptions on A and f, it is shown that u(0) = 0 implies u(t) = 0 for t < 0. The argument is based on α-log and log-log convexity. The results apply to mildly nonlinear parabolic equations and systems with rough coefficients and the 2D Navier-Stokes ...

Decrypting cancer's spatial code: from single cells to tissue niches

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial transcriptomics maps gene activity across tissues, offering powerful insights into how cancer cells are organised, switch states and interact with their surroundings. This review outlines emerging computational, artificial intelligence (AI) and geospatial approaches to define cell states, uncover tumour niches and integrate spatial data with ...

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

Research on multi-scale digital core construction of carbonate rock with fractures and caves characteristics: a case study of Dengying formation carbonate rocks in Sichuan Basin

open access: yesFrontiers in Earth Science
Carbonate reservoirs characterized by fractures and caves exhibit a complex spatial distribution and significant heterogeneity. The establishment of precise and reliable three-dimensional geological models is imperative to elucidate the influence ...

Restoring degraded woodlands [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
In many places on the Swan Coastal Plain Eucalyptus gomphocephala (tuart) woodlands are in decline or are degraded (Bulletin 1). This occurs for many reasons, including grazing by stock, weed invasion, logging and clearing.

Adenosine‐to‐inosine editing of miR‐200b‐3p is associated with the progression of high‐grade serous ovarian cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A‐to‐I editing of miRNAs, particularly miR‐200b‐3p, contributes to HGSOC progression by enhancing cancer cell proliferation, migration and 3D growth. The edited form is linked to poorer patient survival and the identification of novel molecular targets.
