Use of Molecular Logic Gates for the Tuning of Chemosensor Dynamic Range

open access: yesMolecules
Dynamic range is a crucial aspect in the development of fluorescent chemosensors. We aimed to address this issue using molecular logic gates. By creating an AND logic gate with two binding sites for the same type of ion, we increased the dynamic range of

Origin of the Laser‐Induced Picosecond Spin Current Across Magnetization Compensation in Ferrimagnetic GdCo

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
Picosecond spin current pulses generated by ferrimagnetic GdCo are studied via THz emission spectroscopy. Due to the GdCo micromagnetic structure, the spin current vanishes at compensation when a magnetic field is applied but persists for zero field. At room temperature, the THz spin current is dominated by Co. At low temperatures, Gd can significantly

Mathematical Estimation of Logical Masking Capability of Majority/Minority Gates Used in Nanoelectronic Circuits [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Conference on Circuits, System and Simulation, pp. 18-23, London, UK (2017), 2017
In nanoelectronic circuit synthesis, the majority gate and the inverter form the basic combinational logic primitives. This paper deduces the mathematical formulae to estimate the logical masking capability of majority gates, which are used extensively in nanoelectronic digital circuit synthesis.

Developing Quorum Sensing‐Based Collaborative Dynamic Control System in Halomonas TD01

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A standardized and streamlined inducer‐free quorum sensing (QS)‐based collaborative dynamic control pattern is developed for sufficient gene expression control in Halomonas TD by mixing two engineered cells, cells A and B. Proof‐of‐concept studies are designed to test the dynamic control performance in mixed cultures in fed‐batch conditions.

Simulations of molecular logic gates [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
Here we propose four-terminal molecular devices as functional logic gates (AND, NOR and XOR, respectively). Such devices are composed of single organic molecule connected to gold electrodes and located in between gate terminals. Specifically, the operation principle of molecular logic gates is discussed in detail.

Chemically Induced Fluorescence Switching of Carbon-Dots and Its Multiple Logic Gate Implementation

open access: yesScientific Reports, 2015
Investigations were carried out on the carbon-dots (C-dots) based fluorescent off - on (Fe3 + - S2O32−) and on - off (Zn2 + - PO43−) sensors for the detection of metal ions and anions.
