Enhancing Performance and Reliability of Hf1‐xZrxO2 Morphotropic Phase Boundary Films via Nanolaminate Structuring and Microwave Annealing

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Hf–Zr–O‐based morphotropic phase boundary (MPB) thin films often suffer from limited endurance and poor uniformity due to intrinsic phase instability. This work proposes a nanolaminate architecture that spatially separates competing phases, stabilizes phase formation, and suppresses wake‐up‐induced degradation.

Transducers Across Scales and Frequencies: A System‐Level Framework for Multiphysics Integration and Co‐Design

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Transducers convert physical signals into electrical and optical representations, yet each mechanism is bounded by intrinsic trade‐offs across bandwidth, sensitivity, speed, and energy. This review maps transduction mechanisms across physical scale and frequency, showing how heterogeneous integration and multiphysics co‐design transform isolated ...

TOP: A Combined Logical and Physical Obfuscation Method for Securing Networks-on-Chip Against Reverse Engineering Attacks

open access: yesIEEE Access
The Network-on-Chip (NoC) plays an important role in high-speed and efficient communication in System-on-Chip architectures. However, the NoC topology can be extracted through reverse engineering attacks with the goal of making illegal copies or ...

A Proof‐of‐Concept Assessment of a Novel Wearable Eyelid Muscle Device: A Pre‐Clinical Animal Cadaver Study for Eyelid Closure Restoration

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
This article introduces a soft wearable eyelid sling device incorporating a hydraulic soft artificial muscle (SAM) for achieving complete closure of an eyelid. The SAM is driven by a cam mechanism that provides a displacement profile closely matched with those of a healthy eyelid.

Protecting Dynamically Obfuscated Scan Chain Architecture from DOSCrack with Trivium Pseudo-Random Number Generation

open access: yesCryptography
Design-for-test/debug (DfT/D) introduces scan chain testing to increase testability and fault coverage by inserting scan flip-flops. However, these scan chains are also known to be a liability for security primitives.
