Microscale 3D‐Printed Digital Strain Switches for Embedded Mechanical Computation

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Microscale 3D‐printed strain switches on flexible films convert deformation into native digital signals at geometry defined thresholds. A closed form model predicts switching from 3000 to 15 000 microstrain and is validated across 110 devices. Reliable ohmic closure and strain activated AND, OR, and XOR logic point toward low‐power mechanical ...

Quantum computation with logical gates between hot systems

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
We consider quantum computer architectures where interactions are mediated between hot qubits that are not in their mechanical ground state. Such situations occur, e.g., when not cooling ideally, or when moving ions or atoms around.

The Logic of Normative Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
This paper exploits the properties of adjointness to develop a theory of norms. The adjoints are a pair of mappings between two logics, one called IMP, a logic of imperatives, and another called PROP, which is ordinary logic. In particular, L is a mapping form Prop to IMP and it has a right adjoint R from IMP to PROP.

Combining Temporal Logic Systems

open access: yesNotre Dame Journal of Formal Logic, 1996
Modular combinations of temporal logic systems are investigated. Four methods for combining two temporal logics are described and studied. 1. The temporalization method, i.e. the external application of a temporal logic to another temporal system (adding a temporal dimension to a logic system). 2. The independent combination of two temporal systems. 3.

GEO-LOGICAL-reeks 37

open access: yes, 2009
Het zuidelijke deel van het plangebied heeft een verhoogde kans op de aanwezigheid van archeologische waarden, die met de historie van de haven en de bebouwing daarlangs verband kunnen houden.

Dynamic Fluorescence Modulation via Light‐Driven Competitive Protonation

open access: yesAdvanced Optical Materials, EarlyView.
A two‐component molecular system demonstrates reversible, light‐driven fluorescence write–erase cycling and thermal imaging. Illumination of a merocyanine photoacid transfers a proton to a highly efficient fluorescent pyridinium dye, switching its emission color; thermal relaxation reverses the process in the dark.

Reduction algorithms for solving large systems of logical equations [PDF]

open access: yesComputer Science Journal of Moldova, 2000
Large systems of logical equations are considered in this paper, each depending on a restricted number of variables. A method of reduction is suggested that reduces the number of roots in separate equations, which in its turn saves time spent for finding

Duality for Logics of Transition Systems [PDF]

open access: yes, 2005
We present a general framework for logics of transition systems based on Stone duality. Transition systems are modelled as coalgebras for a functor T on a category χ. The propositional logic used to reason about state spaces from χ is modelled by the Stone dual ${\mathcal A}$ of χ (e.g.

Grounding Large Language Models for Robot Task Planning Using Closed‐Loop State Feedback

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
BrainBody‐Large Language Model (LLM) introduces a hierarchical, feedback‐driven planning framework where two LLMs coordinate high‐level reasoning and low‐level control for robotic tasks. By grounding decisions in real‐time state feedback, it reduces hallucinations and improves task reliability.

Multimodal Human–Robot Interaction Using Human Pose Estimation and Local Large Language Models

open access: yesAdvanced Robotics Research, EarlyView.
A multimodal human–robot interaction framework integrates human pose estimation (HPE) and a large language model (LLM) for gesture‐ and voice‐based robot control. Speech‐to‐text (STT) enables voice command interpretation, while a safety‐aware arbitration mechanism prioritizes gesture input for rapid intervention.
