In this paper, we study the following chemotaxis--haptotaxis system with (generalized) logistic source $$ \left\{\begin{array}{ll} u_t=\Delta u-\chi\nabla\cdot(u\nabla v)- \xi\nabla\cdot(u\nabla w)+u(a-\mu u^{r-1}-w), \displaystyle{v_t=\Delta v ...

Stabilization in a two-species chemotaxis system with a logistic source [PDF]
We study a system of three partial differential equations modelling the spatiotemporal behaviour of two competitive populations of biological species both of which are attracted chemotactically by the same signal substance. For a range of the parameters the system possesses a uniquely determined spatially homogeneous positive equilibrium (u?, v ...

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Traveling wave solutions for fully parabolic Keller-Segel chemotaxis systems with a logistic source
This article concerns traveling wave solutions of the fully parabolic Keller-Segel chemotaxis system with logistic source, $$\displaylines{ u_t=\Delta u -\chi\nabla\cdot(u\nabla v)+u(a-bu),\quad x\in\mathbb{R}^N,\cr \tau v_t=\Delta v-\lambda v +\mu ...

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Mathematical Model of \u3cem\u3eChlorella minutissima\u3c/em\u3e UTEX2341 Growth and Lipid Production Under Photoheterotrophic Fermentation Conditions [PDF]
To reduce the cost of algal biomass production, mathematical model was developed for the first time to describe microalgae growth, lipid production and glycerin consumption under photoheterotrophic conditions based on logistic, Luedeking–Piret and ...

LMTRDA: Using logistic model tree to predict MiRNA-disease associations by fusing multi-source information of sequences and similarities. [PDF]
Emerging evidence has shown microRNAs (miRNAs) play an important role in human disease research. Identifying potential association among them is significant for the development of pathology, diagnose and therapy. However, only a tiny portion of all miRNA-
