Patients with esophageal or gastroesophageal junction (GEJ) cancer with residual disease after treatment with neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy (nCRT) and resection frequently experience poor survival. Improvements in outcome, however, may be possible using adjuvant treatment with nivolumab.
