Exploring the potential for cross-nesting structures in airport-choice analysis: A case-study of the Greater London area [PDF]
The analysis of air-passengers’ choices of departure airport in multi-airport regions is a crucial component of transportation planning in many large metropolitan areas, and has been the topic of an increasing number of studies over recent years. In this

Dynamic ordered panel logit models
This paper studies a dynamic ordered logit model for panel data with fixed effects. The main contribution of the paper is to construct a set of valid moment conditions that are free of the fixed effects. The moment functions can be computed using four or more periods of data, and the paper presents sufficient conditions for the moment conditions to ...

Penalized multinomial mixture logit model [PDF]
A classification problem is considered where the observed classes are mixtures of some subclasses. The multinomial logit model is used to model the dependence between subclasses labels and predictors. A version of the EM algorithm is proposed for fitting the resulting mixture model.

Association of Corticospinal Tract Asymmetry With Ambulatory Ability After Intracerebral Hemorrhage
ABSTRACT Background Ambulatory ability after intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH) is important to patients. We tested whether asymmetry between ipsi‐ and contra‐lesional corticospinal tracts (CSTs) assessed by diffusion tensor imaging (DTI) is associated with post‐ICH ambulation.

Bayesian Disaggregate and Aggregate Calibration of Path Logit Choice Models
In transport demand analysis, the calibration of a model means estimation of its (endogenous) parameters from observed data with an inference statistical estimator.

Objective This study aims to develop hip morphology‐based radiographic hip osteoarthritis (RHOA) risk prediction models and investigates the added predictive value of hip morphology measurements and the generalizability to different populations. Methods We combined data from nine prospective cohort studies participating in the Worldwide Collaboration ...

Bayesian nonparametric estimation and consistency of mixed multinomial logit choice models [PDF]
This paper develops nonparametric estimation for discrete choice models based on the mixed multinomial logit (MMNL) model. It has been shown that MMNL models encompass all discrete choice models derived under the assumption of random utility maximization,

A Probability Model for Iranian Female Participation: Nonparametric Logit Modeling [PDF]
In this paper, a nonparametric logit modelling was introduced to estimate the probability of participation of Iranian female labour using household income-expended in 2008.
