Proteome Analysis of Corynebacterium diphtheriae–Macrophage Interaction

open access: yesPROTEOMICS, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Contact of Corynebacterium diphtheriae with macrophages induces adaptations on both bacterial and cellular sides. The study presented here was aiming to shed light on the simultaneous intracellular adaptation of the bacteria and changes in the proteome of the phagocytes in response to the internalization of C. diphtheriae.

Platoon Dispersion Analysis Based on Diffusion Theory

open access: yesMATEC Web of Conferences, 2017
Urbanization and gro wing demand for travel, causes the traffic system to work ineffectively in most urban areas leadin g to traffic congestion. Many approaches have been adopted to address this problem, one among them being the signal co-ordination ...

Bayes reliability measures of Lognormal and inverse Gaussian distributions under ML-II ε-contaminated class of prior distributions

open access: yes
In this paper we employ ML-II ε-contaminated class of priors to study the sensitivity of Bayes Reliability measures for an Inverse Gaussian (IG) distribution and Lognormal (LN) distribution to misspecification in the prior.

The gamma distribution as an alternative to the lognormal distribution in environmental applications

open access: yes, 2000
In environmental applications dealing with data from contaminated sites the positively skewed lognormal distribution has been the most commonly used model.

Waves of range dynamics and gene flow characterize the biogeographic history of Litsea elongata, a dominant tree in East Asian evergreen broadleaved forests

open access: yesPLANTS, PEOPLE, PLANET, EarlyView.
Evergreen broadleaved forests (EBLFs) represent an iconic vegetation type in subtropical montane East Asia, but they are experiencing intensifying anthropogenic pressure and increasing habitat fragmentation. Here, using a dominant and widespread tree species characteristic of East Asian EBLFs, we examine its phylogeographic history and evaluate what it

Bayesian Inference for Median of the Lognormal Distribution

open access: yes, 2016
Lognormal distribution has many applications. The past research papers concentrated on the estimation of the mean of this distribution. This paper develops credible interval for the median of the lognormal distribution. The estimated coverage probability

A Sensitivity Analysis Workflow for Power Series Compounded Lifetime Models: Evidence From Weibull Power Series Fits

open access: yesQuality and Reliability Engineering International, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We propose a practical procedure to quantify the time varying influence of parameters on hazard functions for power series compounded lifetime models. The procedure combines likelihood based fitting with a two stage sensitivity analysis and applies to a range of baselines and compounding laws.

Directive Antenna Clutter Loss in Slant Paths

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper investigates the development of a clutter loss model specifically for slant paths involving directive antennas. Conventionally, clutter loss is characterized by using isotropic antennas to facilitate standard link budget calculations via single antenna gain values.

Integrating Image Segmentation and Deep Learning to Improve Radio Frequency Propagation Models

open access: yesInternational Journal of Satellite Communications and Networking, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT This paper proposes a multi‐sensor approach to improve radio frequency (RF) propagation models, which play a key role in the rapidly expanding field of connected vehicle technology. Focusing on the 1‐ to 20‐GHz frequency range, which is critical for both satellite‐to‐vehicle and base station‐to‐vehicle communications, our study introduces a ...
