The target site mutation Ile-2041-Asn is associated with resistance to ACCase-inhibiting herbicides in Lolium multiflorum

New Zealand Journal of Agricultural Research, 2020
Acetyl-coenzyme A carboxylase (ACCase) inhibitors such as haloxyfop, pinoxaden and clethodim selectively control grass weed species in many types of crop.

Anther Culture of Lolium Perenne and Lolium Multiflorum [PDF]

open access: possible, 1990
Albino as well as green plantlets were obtained by anther culture of Lolium perenne L. and L.multiflorum L. Isozyme and flow cytometric analyses showed the microspore origin of these plantlets. There is a clear genotype effect on anther culture response and on the ratio of green to albino regenerants. The majority of regenerated plantlets were albinos,

Investigating the mechanisms of glyphosate resistance in Lolium multiflorum

Planta, 2007
Evolved resistance to the herbicide glyphosate has been reported in eleven weed species, including Lolium multiflorum. Two glyphosate-resistant L. multiflorum populations were collected, one from Chile (SF) and one from Oregon, USA (OR), and the mechanisms conferring glyphosate resistance were studied.

The application of in vitro tiller induction in Lolium multiflorum

Euphytica, 1985
Eight Lolium multiflorum genotypes were micropropagated for over one year. Using Murashige & Skoog's basal medium, various growth regulators (6-benzylaminopurine, indole acetic acid, adenine sulphate) were tested for their effect on micropropagation. Plantlet handling methods, culture conditions and culture procedures were also compared.
