O azevém anual é a espécie forrageira de estação fria mais cultivada para pastejo no Sul do Brasil. Suas interessantes características forrageiras aliadas à reduzida produção da maior parte das espécies nativas durante o período de baixas temperaturas justificam a utilização em larga escala.

Extraction and Comprehensive Characterization of Starch From Ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.) Seeds as a Non‐Conventional Source

A native starch was extracted from ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum L.), yielding a high‐purity product with a significant starch content. The starch exhibited type A and V crystallinity, with a mean particle size (D50) ~7 nm, high swelling power, and low retrogradation tendency.
