Histopathological and Molecular Data on Myxobolus spp. Infecting Bryconid Fish From the Brazilian Pantanal Wetland

open access: yesJournal of Fish Diseases, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Previous studies described Myxobolus umidus infecting the spleen of Brycon hilarii, whereas Myxobolus pantanalis and Myxobolus salminus infecting the gill filaments of Salminus brasiliensis. In this study, we provided supplementary morphological and molecular data on these three Myxobolus species and histopathological analyses of the tissues ...

Influence of the post‐processing protocol on a biocompatible 3D‐printed resin

open access: yesJournal of Prosthodontics, EarlyView.
Abstract Purpose This study aimed to evaluate the cytotoxicity of a biocompatible 3D‐printed resin material for occlusal devices after post‐processing with two different high‐intensity UV‐polymerization devices and two rinsing solvents, in the presence of human gingival fibroblasts (HGFs).

Effects of sample pre-treatments on the analysis of liquid organic manures by visible and near-infrared spectrometry

open access: yesHeliyon
Proper application of a fertilizer requires precise knowledge of its nutrient composition. In the case of liquid organic manures (LOM), this information is often lacking due to heterogeneous nature of these fertilizers.

Trichomes in Plant Defence, Development and Metabolic Integration Under Environmental Stress

open access: yesPlant, Cell &Environment, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Among various plant defence strategies, trichomes are tiny hair‐like structures on the epidermis that aid in defence, environmental adaptation and the production of valuable secondary metabolites. This review features trichomes as frontline guards for plant survival, integrating their structural, physiological and metabolic roles in ...

Activating and Stabilizing Lattice Oxygen in Spinel NiCo2O4 through F, Mn Dual Doping for Rechargeable Zinc–Air Batteries

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, Volume 9, Issue 5, September 2026.
This study exploited the substitution doping of Mn and F in NiCo2O4 to activate and stabilize lattice oxygen, achieving a stable synergistic effect between AEM and LOM to enhance the intrinsic activity of the catalyst. The outstanding bifunctional properties enable its application as an anode catalyst in zinc–air batteries.

Enhancing Chemical Engineering Education: Constructive Alignment and Augmented Reality in Experimental Fluid Mechanics

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 3, September 2026.
ABSTRACT Wind tunnel experiments are a key element of fluid mechanics education, enabling students to connect theoretical knowledge with practical observations. Despite their pedagogical value, traditional wind tunnel laboratories often lack outcome orientation, rely on prescriptive procedures, and provide limited opportunities for conceptual ...
