Breaking the Activity–Stability Scaling in RuO2 via Single‐ and Dual‐Doping Strategies

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
Single and dual heteroatom doping redefines RuO2 for acidic oxygen evolution by synergistically tuning the electronic structure, lattice stability, and reaction pathways. Although single dopants optimize specific catalytic properties, dual dopants overcome the activity–stability trade‐off through cooperative electronic and geometric regulation ...

Lattice and Surface Engineering of Transition Metal Oxide Photoanodes for Efficient Photoelectrochemical Water Splitting

open access: yesEcoEnergy, EarlyView.
This review highlights phase control, facet control, and atomic vacancy engineering as key strategies to enhance charge transport, light harvesting, and surface activity in PEC photoanodes. ABSTRACT Photoelectrochemical (PEC) water splitting is a promising approach for converting solar energy into hydrogen, yet the performance of transition metal oxide

MOF‐Derived Superaerophobic Ni‐CoOOH Nanosheet Anchored on Stretched Carbon via In Situ Morphology Reconstruction for Durable Oxygen Evolution

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
This study constructed an in situ superhydrophobic OER catalyst with excellent activity and durability. Ni‐Co expansion induced tensile strain, converting the polyhedral framework into vertical nanosheets that enhance intrinsic activity and bubble detachment.

Cu‐Doped Amorphous High‐Entropy Hydroxides Activating Electrochemical Reconstruction: Triggering LOM and Chloride Repellency for Enhanced Water and Seawater Oxidation

open access: yesENERGY &ENVIRONMENTAL MATERIALS, EarlyView.
Copper‐doped amorphous high‐entropy hydroxide (CuNiCoFeCrOH) is constructed via one‐step electrodeposition. Cu doping promotes electrochemical reconstruction by accelerating Cr leaching and re‐adsorption, triggering LOM and chloride repellency for efficient water and seawater oxidation.
