Identifying Scenarios in Field Data to Enable Validation of Highly Automated Driving Systems [PDF]
Scenario-based approaches for the validation of highly automated driving functions are based on the search for safety-critical characteristics of driving scenarios using software-in-the-loop simulations. This search requires information about the shape and probability of scenarios in real-world traffic.

Non-closure of constraint algebra in N=1 supergravity [PDF]
The algebra of constraints arising in the canonical quantization of N=1 supergravity in four dimensions is investigated. Using the holomorphic action, the structure functions of the algebra are given and it is shown that the algebra does not close formally for two chosen operator orderings.

Chaotic and ballistic dynamics in time-driven quasiperiodic lattices [PDF]
We investigate the nonequilibrium dynamics of classical particles in a driven quasiperiodic lattice based on the Fibonacci sequence. An intricate transient dynamics of extraordinarily long ballistic flights at distinct velocities is found. We argue how these transients are caused and can be under- stood by a hierarchy of block decompositions of the ...

Dispersive Manipulation of Paired Superconducting Qubits [PDF]
We combine the ideas of qubit encoding and dispersive dynamics to enable robust and easy quantum information processing (QIP) on paired superconducting charge boxes sharing a common bias lead. We establish a decoherence free subspace on these and introduce universal gates by dispersive interaction with a LC resonator and inductive couplings between the

An error accounting algorithm for electron counting experiments [PDF]
Electron counting experiments attempt to provide a current of a known number of electrons per unit time. We propose architectures utilizing a few readily available electron-pumps or turnstiles with modest error rates of 1 part per $10^4$ with common sensitive electrometers to achieve the desirable accuracy of 1 part in $10^8$.

Disorder-induced regular dynamics in oscillating lattices [PDF]
We explore the impact of weak disorder on the dynamics of classical particles in a periodically oscillating lattice. It is demonstrated that the disorder induces a hopping process from diffusive to regular motion i.e. we observe the counterintuitive phenomenon that disorder leads to regular behaviour. If the disorder is localized in a finite-sized part

Symmetries and transport in site-dependently driven quantum lattices [PDF]
We explore the quantum dynamics of particles in a spatiotemporally driven lattice. A powerful numerical scheme is developed, which provides us with the Floquet modes and thus enables a stroboscopic propagation of arbitrary initial states. A detailed symmetry analysis represents the cornerstone for an intricate manipulation of the Floquet spectrum ...

Equilibrium nano-shape changes induced by epitaxial stress (generalised Wulf-Kaishew theorem) [PDF]
A generalised Wulf-Kaishew theorem is given describing the equilibrium shape (ES) of an isolated 3D crystal A deposited coherently onto a lattice mismatched planar substrate. For this purpose a free polyhedral crystal is formed then homogeneously strained to be accommodated onto the lattice mismatched substrate.

Site-selective particle deposition in periodically driven quantum lattices [PDF]
We demonstrate that a site-dependent driving of a periodic potential allows for the controlled manipulation of a quantum particle on length scales of the lattice spacing. Specifically we observe for distinct driving frequencies a near depletion of certain sites which is explained by a resonant mixing of the involved Floquet-Bloch modes occurring at ...

Analysis of interface conversion processes of ballistic and diffusive motion in driven superlattices [PDF]
We explore the non-equilibrium dynamics of non-interacting classical particles in a one-dimensional driven superlattice which is composed of domains exposed to different time-dependent forces. It is shown how the combination of directed transport and conversion processes from diffusive to ballistic motion causes strong correlations between velocity and
