Pharmacothera-peutic activity Lomatogonium Carinthiacum extract at experimental hepatitis [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
Pharmacotherapeutic efficiency of the dry extract from Lomatogonium carinthiacum in toxic hepatitis was studied. Experimental hepatitis was caused by the introduction of tetracycline hydrochloride to Wistar white rats in the dose of 1,0 g/kg of the ...

Electric-field induced switching from fcc to hcp stacking of a single layer of Fe/Ni(111) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
We present a detailed study of an electric-field induced phase transition of a single layer of Fe on a Ni(111) substrate. Scanning tunneling microscopy at 4 K substrate temperature is used to provide the necessary electric field and to follow the transition from face-centered cubic to hexagonal closepacked stacking with atomic resolution.

Critical exponents and intrinsic broadening of the field-induced transition in NiCl$_2$$\cdot$4SC(NH$_2$)$_2$ [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. B 91, 014406 (2015), 2014
The field-induced ordering transition in the quantum spin system NiCl$_2$$\cdot$4SC(NH$_2$)$_2$ is studied by means of neutron diffraction, AC magnetometry and relaxation calorimetry. The interpretation of the data is strongly influenced by a finite distribution of transition fields in the samples, which was present but disregarded in previous studies.

Pulse Propagation in Resonant Tunneling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2004
We consider the analytically solvable model of a Gaussian pulse tunneling through a transmission resonance with a Breit-Wigner characteristic. The solution allows for the identification of two opposite pulse propagation regimes: if the resonance is broad compared to the energetic width of the incident Gaussian pulse a weakly deformed and slightly ...

Exposing local symmetries in distorted driven lattices via time-averaged invariants [PDF]

open access: yesPhys. Rev. E 93, 052215 (2016), 2015
Time-averaged two-point currents are derived and shown to be spatially invariant within domains of local translation or inversion symmetry for arbitrary time-periodic quantum systems in one dimension. These currents are shown to provide a valuable tool for detecting deformations of a spatial symmetry in static and driven lattices.

McKay's correspondence and characters of finite subgroups of SU(2) [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2003
According to McKay (1980) the irreducible characters of finite subgroups of SU(2) are in a natural 1-1 correspondence with the extended Coxeter-Dynkin graphs of type ADE. We show that the character values themselves can be given by an uniform formula, as special values of polynomials which arise naturally as numerators of Poincare series associated to ...

Error accounting in electron counting experiments [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2008
Electron counting experiments attempt to provide a current of a known number of electrons per unit time. We propose architectures utilizing a few readily available electron-pumps or turnstiles with the typical error rates of 100 ppm with common sensitive electrometers to achieve the desirable accuracy of 1 part in 10 ppb.
