Geographical proliferation of ongoing novel host use by the herbivorous ladybird beetle Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata (Coleoptera: Coccinellidae)

The geographical extent of occurrence of the Solanaceae‐feeding Henosepilachna vigintioctopunctata on the novel fabaceous host Centrosema molle and the ability of larvae from several beetle populations to develop on C. molle were investigated to depict the incipient phase in the speciation continuum of herbivorous ladybird beetles.
