Enhanced Photoelectrochemical Activity of Green‐Capped TiO2 Photoelectrodes for DSSC Application

open access: yesChemistrySelect, Volume 10, Issue 31, August 15, 2025.
Green‐capping of TiO2 through a straightforward sol‐gel method at a minimal temperature (45 °C), with extracts from Hibiscus Sabdariffa (HS), Lawsonia inermis (LI), and Lonchocarpus cyanescens (LC) was reported. Green‐capped TiO2 has better crystallites, suppressed recombination, and exhibits a higher rate of electron transfer.

Successional Growth Dynamics of Woody Saplings in Tropical Dry Forest Understory

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 57, Issue 3, May 2025.
The factors that drive sapling growth in tropical dry forest succession remain unclear. Growth rates are higher in the early stages of succession and then decrease. Light and not water seems to be the main factor limiting sapling growth along succession. The successional guild of species and the taxonomic identity as a Leguminosae were the main factors
