SOME STUDIES ON STRUCTURAL PLANNING OF LONG-SPAN CABLE STAYED BRIDGE

本研究は, 本州四国連絡橋の一つである多々羅大橋 (当初計画; 吊橋) の橋梁計画再検討にあたって, 比較対象とした支間1000m級の長支間斜張橋について, その実用性を追求したものである. 再検討開始当時 (1988年) の支間500m級までの技術的経験をもとに, 支間長大化に伴なう課題を抽出し, 試設計, 構造解析および実験など実証的な手法によって, 構造特性と経済性の両面から吊橋との比較を行うとともに長支間斜張橋の構造形式の選定について検討を加え, 全橋耐荷力, 耐風性, 耐震性などについて検証し, 1000m級の長支間斜張橋の実用性を示した. この研劣成果は現多々羅大橋 (中央支間890mの斜張橋) の計画, 設計に反映され, 現在工事が進められている.
