Accelerated Asymptotics for Diffusion Model Estimation [PDF]

open access: yes
We propose a semiparametric estimation procedure for scalar homogeneous stochastic differential equations. We specify a parametric class for the underlying diffusion process and identify the parameters of interest by minimizing criteria given by the ...

On the Cauchy problem of defocusing mKdV equation with finite density initial data: long time asymptotics in soliton-less regions

open access: yes, 2023
We investigate the long-time asymptotics for the solutions to the Cauchy problem of defocusing modified Kortweg-de Vries (mKdV) equation with finite density initial data.

Impedance of Nonelectroneutral Solid Electrolyte Interphases With Nanopores: A Theoretical Model

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Physical modeling reveals that often‐neglected non‐electroneutrality and nanopores in the solid‐electrolyte interphase (SEI) govern the impedance behavior. Under nonreactive conditions, the low‐frequency constant‐phase element (CPE) phenomenon can be attributed to the nonelectroneutral local conditions in the SEI.

MODEL OF CAKE FILTRATION IN POROUS MEDIUM

open access: yesInternational Journal for Computational Civil and Structural Engineering
Strengthening of loose soil and creation of water-resistant underground walls are associated with filtration of small particles in a porous medium. Liquid solution pumped into a well under pressure spreads through hollow channels and strengthens the ...

LAD Asymptotics under Conditional Heteroskedasticity with Possibly Infinite Error Densities [PDF]

open access: yes
Least absolute deviations (LAD) estimation of linear time-series models is considered under conditional heteroskedasticity and serial correlation. The limit theory of the LAD estimator is obtained without assuming the finite density condition for the ...

Low‐Power Control Of Resistance Switching Transitions in First‐Order Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Joule losses are a serious concern in modern integrated circuit design. In this regard, minimizing the energy necessary for programming memristors should be handled with care. This manuscript presents an optimal control framework, allowing to derive energy‐efficient programming voltage protocols for resistance switching devices. Following this approach,

The Small and Large Time Implied Volatilities in the Minimal Market Model [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper derives explicit formulas for both the small and large time limits of the implied volatility in the minimal market model. It is shown that interest rates do impact on the implied volatility in the long run even though they are negligible in ...

Machine Learning Interatomic Potentials for Energy Materials: Architectures, Training Strategies, and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Energy Materials, EarlyView.
Machine learning interatomic potentials bridge quantum accuracy and computational efficiency for materials discovery. Architectures from Gaussian process regression to equivariant graph neural networks, training strategies including active learning and foundation models, and applications in solid‐state electrolytes, batteries, electrocatalysts ...

Investigation of Doubly Nonlinear Parabolic Equation

open access: yesProceedings of the International Conference on Applied Innovations in IT
We study the properties of solutions for a porous medium equation (PME) in non-divergent form with a source term. The PME is a fundamental model in various physical and biological processes, including fluid flow through porous media, heat transfer, and ...

Strong Approximations for Nonlinear Transformations of Integrated Time Series [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we establish the strong approximations for the nonlinear transformations of integrated time series. Both the asymptotically homogeneous and integrable transformations are considered, and the explicit rates for the convergence to their limit
