Evaluation of influence of detrending CSES satellite data on lithospheric magnetic field modeling

open access: yesEarth and Planetary Physics
The China Seismo-Electromagnetic Satellite (CSES) was successfully launched in February 2018. The high precision magnetometer (HPM) on board the CSES has captured high-quality magnetic data that have been used to derive a global lithospheric magnetic ...

Unrest at Domuyo Volcano, Argentina, Detected by Geophysical and Geodetic Data and Morphometric Analysis

open access: yesRemote Sensing, 2019
New volcanic unrest has been detected in the Domuyo Volcanic Center (DVC), to the east of the Andes Southern Volcanic Zone in Argentina. To better understand this activity, we investigated new seismic monitoring data, gravimetric and magnetic campaign ...

Unraveling the Electronic Structure of Silicon Vacancy Centers in 4H‐SiC

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The electronic structure of the silicon vacancy in 4H‐SiC is probed via transient absorption spectroscopy, uncovering previously inaccessible excited states of the quartet and doublet spin channels, including the V2' transition. In combination with theoretical analysis, a comprehensive picture of the electronic structure is established.

Interpretation of the aeromagnetic anomalies of mainland Scotland using pseudogravimetric transformation and other methods [PDF]

open access: yes, 1990
A procedure to upward continue magnetic anomalies observed on an irregular surface onto a horizontal plane has been developed and applied to the aeromagnetic map of Great Britain.

Temperature and magnetic field dependence of a Kondo system in the weak coupling regime [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
The Kondo effect arises due to the interaction between a localized spin and the electrons of a surrounding host. Studies of individual magnetic impurities by scanning tunneling spectroscopy have renewed interest in Kondo physics; however, a quantitative ...

Generating Unconventional Spin‐Orbit Torques With Patterned Phase Gradients in Tungsten Thin Films

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A key aim in spintronics is to achieve current‐induced magnetization switching via spin‐orbit torques without external magnetic fields. For this, the focus of recent work has been on introducing controlled lateral gradients across ferromagnet/heavy‐metal devices, giving variations in thickness, composition, or interface quality.

Can remanent magnetization in the deep crust contribute to long wavelength magnetic anomalies?

open access: yesGeophysical Research Letters, 1989
Long wavelength aeromagnetic anomalies require sources in the deep crust that are far more magnetic than the measured induced magnetization of lower crustal rocks. Several scientists have suggested that remanence in the deep crust may provide the missing magnetization. This is not likely, either through stable and/or viscous remanence.

Long-wavelength magnetic anomalies as a guide to the deep crustal composition and structure of eastern Australia [PDF]

open access: yesASEG Extended Abstracts, 2013
Aeromagnetic data over eastern Australia reveal a pattern of domains defined by systematic regional highs and lows, emphasised by low-pass filtering, over which are superimposed shorter (

Van der Waals Chromium Telluride Thin Films Prepared by Hybrid Pulsed Laser Deposition With Tunable Magnetism

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces, EarlyView.
Epitaxial Cr(1+δ)Te2 thin films were synthesized via hybrid Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD) that combined Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) techniques with PLD. Control of the Cr intercalation, δ, enabled modulation of magnetic anisotropy, Curie temperature, and transport properties.
