Multiaxial fatigue of in-service aluminium longerons for helicopter rotor-blades [PDF]

open access: yesFracture and Structural Integrity, 2016
Fatigue cracking of longerons manufactured from Al-alloy AVT-1 for helicopter in-service rotorblades was considered and crack growth period and equivalent of tensile stress for different blade sections were estimated.

MATHEMATICAL MODEL OF FORMATION OF NOISE OF VIBROSHOCK HARDENING OF LONGERONS OF HELICOPTERS

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Research, 2009
In article the mathematical model of formation of noise of the stand of vibroshock hardening of longerons of helicopters is resulted. Power methods speeds of fluctuations of separate subsystems and bearing system as a whole pay off.

The crash energy absorption of the vehicles front structures [PDF]

open access: yesTransport, 2003
During the frontal crash the longerons absorb most energy of all vehicles construction elements. In order to analyse the energy absorbing capabilities of longerons under axial compression loading and to evaluate the influence of longerons geometrical ...

Investigation of cracks found in helicopter longerons [PDF]

open access: yesEngineering Failure Analysis, 2010
Four cracked longerons, containing a total of eight cracks, were provided for study. Cracked regions were cut from the longerons. Load was applied to open the cracks, enabling crack surface examination. Examination revealed that crack propagation was driven by fatigue loading in all eight cases.

Imrovement of the cold forming technology of the parts such as longeron [PDF]

open access: yesIOP Conference Series: Materials Science and Engineering, 2014
© Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd. As a result of modeling in LS-PREPOST preprocessor of the program LS-DYNA a range of radii of curvature edge transition matrix (27,5 °≤ R ≤ 48 °) is obtained, which allows to produce defect-free stamping slots for longeron shock absorbers of tractors KAMAZ-5460.

Sequentially deployable maneuverable tetrahedral beam [PDF]

open access: yes, 1985
A tetrahedral beam that can be compactly stowed, sequentially deployed, and widely manipulated to provide a structurally sound yet highly maneuverable truss structure is comprised of a number of repeating units of tandem tetralhedral sharing common sides.
