Psychometrika, 1970
A model is presented for factor analysing scores on a set of psychological tests administered as both pre- and postmeasures in a study of change. The model assumes that the same factors underlie the tests on each occasion, but that factor scores as well as factor loadings may change between occasions.

Longitudinal Design and Longitudinal Analysis
Research on Aging, 1986The desirability of longitudinal data is generally accepted among researchers in aging and gerontology. In recent years, a great deal of such data have been collected either in the form of large scale national surveys of more local efforts. Not uncommonly, such data are underanalyzed.

Topological Analysis of Longitudinal Networks
2013 46th Hawaii International Conference on System Sciences, 2013Longitudinal networks evolve over time through the addition or deletion of nodes and edges. A longitudinal network can be viewed as a single static network that aggregates all edges observed over some time period (i.e., structure of network is fixed), or as a series of static networks observed in different point of time over the entire network ...

ACM SIGSOFT Software Engineering Notes, 2002
The field of program analysis has made significant improvements recently, but still faces some major obstacles. In this talk I argue that considering analysis as applying longitudinally across the multitude of versions created during a program's lifetime -rather than to a given instance of a program - shows significant promise in overcoming some of ...

A longitudinal analysis of data breaches
Information Management & Computer Security, 2011PurposeThe purpose of this research is to provide companies and consumers with information about the potential connections between data breach types and institutions. This study also aims to add to the body of knowledge about data breaches.Design/methodology/approachThis study analyzes a chronology of five years of data breaches.

On Efficiency of Constrained Longitudinal Data Analysis Versus Longitudinal Analysis of Covariance
Biometrics, 2009Summary: In randomized clinical trials, measurements are often collected on each subject at a baseline visit and several post‐randomization time points. The longitudinal analysis of covariance in which the postbaseline values form the response vector and the baseline value is treated as a covariate can be used to evaluate the treatment differences at ...

Meta-analysis of longitudinal studies
Clinical Trials, 2007Background Longitudinal studies typically report estimates of the effect of a treatment or exposure at various times during the course of follow-up. Meta-analyses of these studies must account for correlations between effect estimates from the same study. Purpose To describe and contrast alternative approaches to handling correlations

Unionism and Wages: A Longitudinal Analysis
The Review of Economics and Statistics, 1981THE impact of unionism on relative wage rates is a topic of long-standing interest in labor economics. Over the years researchers have used a variety of approaches to estimate the wage advantage associated with union membership. Initially, researchers compared the average wages of union and nonunion workers in specific sectors, such as an industry ...

Urbanization and modernization: A longitudinal analysis
Studies in Comparative International Development, 1974It has been the goal of this paper to describe longitudinal patterns in urbanization over the last century and to analyze longitudinal relationships between urbanization and selected components of the modernization process. In order to accomplish these goals, an index of urbanization (Su) was constructed which took into consideration not only the ...
