Postural control patterns in gravid women-A systematic review.

open access: yesPLoS ONE
BackgroundPostural stability is essential for functional independence in the pregnant population. The contradictions between existing studies and the lack of consistent characteristics in the strategies used by pregnant women for postural control ...

Expanding Chemical Space of Nucleic Acid Nanoparticles for Tunable Antiviral‐Like Immunomodulatory Responses and Potent Adjuvant Activity

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
We introduce a nucleic acid nanoparticle (NANP) platform designed to be rrecognized by the human innate immune system in a regulated manner. By changing chemical composition while maintaining constant architectural parameters, we identify key determinants of immunorecognition enabling the rational design of NANPs with tunable immune activation profiles

Local Thermal Conductivity Patterning in Rotating Lattice Crystals of Anisotropic Sb2S3

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Microscale control of thermal conductivity in Sb2S3 is demonstrated via laser‐induced rotating lattice crystals. Thermal conductivity imaging reveals marked thermal transport anisotropy, with the c axis featuring amorphous‐like transport, whereas in‐plane directions (a, b) exhibit 3.5x and 1.7x larger thermal conductivity.

HYDRODYNAMIC PERFORMANCES OF SMALL SIZE SWATH CRAFT

open access: yesBrodogradnja, 2015
The good seakeeping characteristics of SWATH hull form are very interesting for small working craft and pleasure boats. Intrinsic limitations as the low values of weight per inch of immersion and transversal and longitudinal instability, can be ...

Robust Bio‐Textiles Via Mycelium‐Cellulose Interface Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work introduces a new class of sustainable textiles by growing mycelium, the root‐like structure of fungi, into cellulose‐based fabrics. This semi‐interpenetrating mycelium‐cellulose fiber network combines the strength and breathability of natural fibers with the water‐resistant and adhesive properties of mycelium, resulting in a robust, scalable,

Reconfigurable Magnetic Soft Microrobot for Acoustically Triggered Targeted Bacterial Sterilization

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Reconfigurable magnetic soft microrobots integrate in situ‐grown piezoelectric zinc oxide nanorods that produce reactive oxygen species upon acoustic excitation. Combining magnetically guided transport with thermally induced planar reconfiguration, the microrobots achieve targeted delivery and enhanced bacterial sterilization through efficient on ...

Piloted-simulation study of effects of vortex flaps on low-speed handling qualities of a Delta-wing airplane [PDF]

open access: yes
A piloted-simulation study was conducted to investigate the effects of vortex flaps on low-speed handling qualities of a delta-wing airplane. The simulation math model was developed from wind tunnel tests of a 0.15 scale model of the F-106B airplane ...
