In this study, presence of Phytophthora spp. was investigated in rhizosphere soil of Black Alder (Alnus glutinosa) in İğneada and Karacabey wetland forests in Turkey. The Pythiaceous (Phytophthora spp. and Pythium ssp.) species from a total of 27 soil samples were isolated by the soil bating method.
