The shorted monopoles and the planar inverted-F antennas have been utilized for wireless local area network (WLAN) notebook applications for years. This paper presents an alternative and yet promising antenna type with a compact and smaller size of 5 mm &

C-figured loop antennas are analysed numerically. The current distribution, radiation pattern and axial ratio are presented. It is found that the c-figured loop antennas radiate a circularly polarised wave with a relatively wide 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth ( approximately 5%). >

Cryptochrome and PAS/LOV proteins play intricate roles in circadian clocks where they act as both sensors and mediators of protein–protein interactions. Their ubiquitous presence in signaling networks has positioned them as targets for small‐molecule therapeutics. This review provides a structural introduction to these protein families.

Plecstatin inhibits hepatocellular carcinoma tumorigenesis and invasion through cytolinker plectin
The ruthenium‐based metallodrug plecstatin exerts its anticancer effect in hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) primarily through selective targeting of plectin. By disrupting plectin‐mediated cytoskeletal organization, plecstatin inhibits anchorage‐dependent growth, cell polarization, and tumor cell dissemination.

Non-Foster Matching Circuit Design via Tunable Inductor for VLF Receive Loop Antennas
This paper presents a non-Foster matching circuit (NFC) for very low frequency (VLF) receive loop antennas. A 1 ⁎ 1 m VLF receive loop antenna was designed with a CMOS switch-based tunable inductor built into the NFC.

Radiometric Partial Discharge Detection: A Review
One of the most common failures or breakdowns that can occur in high-voltage (HV) equipment is due to partial discharges (PDs). This occurs as a result of inadequate insulation, aging, harsh environmental effects, or manufacturing flaws. PD detection and

UHF SATCOM broadband CP antenna: moxon type bent-dipoles over a ground plane [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate and compare two different antenna types for UHF SATCOM applications; proposed Moxon type (bent dipole) and conventional egg beater (loop) antennas in terms of antenna performance and physical size. Bent dipole and egg beater

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...

Q factors for antennas in dispersive media [PDF]
Stored energy and Q-factors are used to quantify the performance of small antennas. Accurate and efficient evaluation of the stored energy is also essential for current optimization and the associated physical bounds. Here, it is shown that the frequency

On the Hierarchical Preconditioning of the Combined Field Integral Equation
This paper analyzes how hierarchical bases preconditioners constructed for the Electric Field Integral Equation (EFIE) can be effectively applied to the Combined Field Integral Equation (CFIE).
