Improved Phase-Locked Loop Performance Via Nonlinear Loop Filters
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 1979A new structure for the loop filter of a PLL which consists of a conventional linear first order filter connected in a feedback arrangement with a static nonlinearity is analyzed. In the absence of noise, the steady state operating conditions (i.e., equilibrium points) are independent of the parameters of the nonlinearity, and asymptotic stability of ...

Miniaturized microstrip open‐loop filters
Microwave and Optical Technology Letters, 2002AbstractNew microstrip slow‐wave bandpass filters using open‐loop resonator loaded with inter‐digital capacitive fingers is proposed. The filter features not only compact in size, but also exhibits spurious stop‐band rejection. Filters of this type with elliptic function and Chebyshev response are demonstrated.

Abstract The basic design of a general purpose digital phase lock loop is improved upon by incorporating a stack filter into the feedback path of the loop. The addition of a stack filter provides enhanced performance in the presence of impulsive noise while providing the same steady-state performance of a conventional digital phase lock loop.

A New AVS Loop-Filtering Fast Algorithm
Advanced Materials Research, 2012To reduce the complexity of AVS loop-filtering algorithm, this paper proposes a new AVS loop-filtering fast algorithm based on boundary flatness on the basis of deep analysis to AVS loop-filtering algorithm. Comparing with loop-filtering datum algorithm, the time of s loop-filtering algorithm can reduce 53.69% on average, which can efficiently decrease

Open loop and closed loop spectral frequency active filtering
IEEE Transactions on Power Electronics, 2002This paper proposes two frequency based methods for parallel active filtering of current harmonics in utility grids. Active filter (AF) reference prediction and AF current control are the two key-points to obtain high performances. This paper deals with the AF reference prediction.

… the output (BM displacement or velocity) varies much less than the stapes input displacement or velocity, for frequencies near the best frequency. The significance of this important finding will become clearer as we proceed, but, in my opinion, it is a precursor to an automatic gain control system which seems to be built into the cochlear filters. —“

A Novel Loop Filter Design for Phase-Locked Loops
2006 IEEE International Conference on Systems, Man and Cybernetics, 2006A new loop filter design method for phase locked loops (PLLs) is presented, which employs multi-objective control technique to deal with the various design objectives: small noise bandwidth, good transient response (small settling time, small overshoot), and large gain and phase margins.

The second order type II loop filter considered quite extensively until now is quite commonly used in PLL circuits because of its simplicity, inherent stability and ease of analysis. However, it does not offer very good rejection of high frequency signals from the phase detector, the gain of the filter itself — from figure 3.1(b) — being a constant ...

Switched-loop filter for automatically frequency-calibrated phase-locked loops
Microelectronics Journal, 2013A novel switched-loop filter, which can significantly reduce ripples on voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) control line, is proposed for phase-locked loops (PLL) with an automatic frequency calibration technique. Complementary bootstrapped transmission gates are utilized and rearranged clocks are generated to improve the performance of loop filter ...
