A modified wire-loop snare technique for the retrieval of inferior vena cava filter with embedded hook

open access: yesSAGE Open Medical Case Reports, 2017
Common obstacles to successful retrieval of retrievable inferior vena cave filter include embedded filter hook and severe tilt of the filter. We described a modified wire-loop snare technique using self-made fishhook-like pigtail catheter and 11-F-long ...

A Chattering-Free Sliding Mode Filter Enhanced by First Order Derivative Feedforward

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2020
Noise reduction is one of the important issues for feedback control systems. Toward this problem, this paper proposes a new sliding mode filter, which is an improvement of Lv et al. ’s parabolic sliding mode filter.

A comparative study of methods for estimating virtual flux at the point of common coupling in grid connected voltage source converters with LCL filter [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
Grid connected Voltage Source Converters (VSCs) with LCL filters usually have voltage measurements at the filter capacitors, while it can be important to control the active or reactive power injection at the grid-side of the LCL filter, for instance at a

Mathematical models and simulations of phase noise in phase-locked loops [PDF]

open access: yesSongklanakarin Journal of Science and Technology (SJST), 2007
Phase noises in Phase-Locked Loops (PLLs) are a key parameter for communication systems that contribute the bit-rate-error of communication systems and cause synchronization problems.

Combining Charge Couple Devices and Rate Sensors for the Feedforward Control System of a Charge Coupled Device Tracking Loop

open access: yesSensors, 2016
A rate feed forward control-based sensor fusion is proposed to improve the closed-loop performance for a charge couple device (CCD) tracking loop. The target trajectory is recovered by combining line of sight (LOS) errors from the CCD and the angular ...

A Cuckoo Filter Modification Inspired by Bloom Filter [PDF]

open access: yesAUT Journal of Electrical Engineering, 2019
Probabilistic data structures are so popular in membership queries, network applications, and so on. Bloom Filter and Cuckoo Filter are two popular space efficient models that incorporate in set membership checking part of many important protocols.

Cell wall target fragment discovery using a low‐cost, minimal fragment library

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
LoCoFrag100 is a fragment library made up of 100 different compounds. Similarity between the fragments is minimized and 10 different fragments are mixed into a single cocktail, which is soaked to protein crystals. These crystals are analysed by X‐ray crystallography, revealing the binding modes of the bound fragment ligands.

Effect of supply scaling on noise performance of 0.6–1.2 V continuous‐time delta‐sigma modulator

open access: yesElectronics Letters, 2019
The dependence of the noise performance of a 0.6–1.2 V continuous‐time delta‐sigma modulator (DSM) on its supply voltage is analysed. The noise performance and benchmark figure of merit (FoM) mainly depend on the power dissipation, thermal noise ...
