Loop quantum cosmology: an overview [PDF]

open access: yesGeneral Relativity and Gravitation, 2009
A brief overview of loop quantum cosmology of homogeneous isotropic models is presented with emphasis on the origin of and subtleties associated with the resolution of big bang and big crunch singularities. These results bear out the remarkable intuition that John Wheeler had. Discussion is organized at two levels.

Probability of inflation in loop quantum cosmology [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2019
We discuss how initial conditions for cosmological evolution can be defined in Loop Quantum Cosmology with massive scalar field and how the presence of the bounce influences the probability of inflation in this theory, compared with General Relativity.

Fermions in one-loop quantum cosmology

Physical Review D, 1993
In recent papers by D'Eath and Esposito two kinds of boundary conditions, local and nonlocal (spectral), were used to study the contribution of fermions to the one-loop prefactor in the Hartle-Hawking wave function of the Universe. Using the $\ensuremath{\zeta}$-function technique they found that for the case of massless Majorana fermions on a flat ...
