Finite-distance gravitational deflection of massive particles by a rotating black hole in loop quantum gravity

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
A rotating black hole in loop quantum gravity was constructed by Brahma, Chen, and Yeom based on a nonrotating counterpart using the revised Newman–Janis algorithm recently.

Mimicking Symmetry‐Breaking Einstein Ring by Optical Lens

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This article uses an optical lens to emulate the gravitational lensing effect and observe the Einstein ring (ER) patterns. The symmetry‐breaking ER, i.e., Einstein cross, is observed utilizing a rotation‐symmetry‐breaking hemi‐ellipsoid lens. Deformed Einstein cross patterns induced by noncollinearly alignment of the light source–lens–observer are ...

Quantum isolated horizons and black hole entropy

open access: yes, 2012
We give a short introduction to the approaches currently used to describe black holes in loop quantum gravity. We will concentrate on the classical issues related to the modeling of black holes as isolated horizons, give a short discussion of their ...

Loop Quantum Cosmology IV: Discrete Time Evolution [PDF]

open access: yes, 2000
Using general features of recent quantizations of the Hamiltonian constraint in loop quantum gravity and loop quantum cosmology, a dynamical interpretation of the constraint equation as evolution equation is presented. This involves a transformation from

Evidence for loop quantum gravity

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2021
This article points out that when the boundary condition $\frac{T}{T_{c}}=z$ (when z is a complex number) is preset, bosons can produce Bose condensation without an energy layer. Under Bose condensation, incident waves may condense in various black holes in the theory of loop quantum gravity.

Rapid and Reversible Morphing to Enable Multifunctionality in Robots

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, EarlyView.
This article introduces a rapid, reversible, and repeatable morphing robot through a bistable latch‐mediated, spring actuated (LaMSA) mechanism. This enables an untethered, multifunctional robot to near‐instantaneously (< 50 ms) and reversibly switch between a flying and driving configuration to navigate through different environments.
