Representations of the $SU(N)$ $T$-algebra and the loop representation in $1+1$-dimensions

open access: yes, 1993
We consider the phase-space of Yang-Mills on a cylindrical space-time ($S^1 \times {\bf R}$) and the associated algebra of gauge-invariant functions, the $T$-variables.

dUTPase is essential in zebrafish development and possesses several single‐nucleotide variants with pronounced structural and functional consequences

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
dUTPases are involved in balancing the appropriate nucleotide pools. We showed that dUTPase is essential for normal development in zebrafish. The different zebrafish genomes contain several single‐nucleotide variations (SNPs) of the dut gene. One of the dUTPase variants displayed drastically lower protein stability and catalytic efficiency as compared ...

Some Simplicial Complexes of Universal Osborn Loops

open access: yesAnnals of the West University of Timisoara: Mathematics and Computer Science, 2014
A loop is shown to be a universal Osborn loop if and only if it has a particular simplicial complex. A loop is shown to be a universal Osborn loop and obeys two new identities if and only if it has another particular simplicial complex.

Computation of the Soft Anomalous Dimension Matrix in Coordinate Space

open access: yes, 2010
We complete the coordinate space calculation of the three-parton correlation in the two-loop massive soft anomalous dimension matrix. The full answer agrees with the result found previously by a different approach.

C2α‐carbanion‐protonating glutamate discloses tradeoffs between substrate accommodation and reaction rate in actinobacterial 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Enzymes of the 2‐hydroxyacyl‐CoA lyase group catalyze the condensation of formyl‐CoA with aldehydes or ketones. Thus, by structural adaptation of active sites, practically any pharmaceutically and industrially important 2‐hydroxyacid could be biotechnologically synthesized. Combining crystal structure analysis, active site mutations and kinetic assays,

The suspended free loop space of a symmetric space

open access: yes, 2018
Let M be one of the projective spaces CP^n, HP^n for n>1 or the Cayley projective plane OP^2, and let LM denote the free loop space on M. Using Morse theory methods, we prove that the suspension spectrum of (LM)_+ is homotopy equivalent to the suspension

Elliptic loop spaces

open access: yes
We introduce an elliptic avatar of loop spaces in derived algebraic geometry, completing the familiar trichotomoy of rational, trigonometric and elliptic objects. Heuristically, the elliptic loop space of $\mathcal{Y}$ is the stack of maps to $\mathcal{Y}$ from a certain exotic avatar $\mathcal{S}_{E}$ of the elliptic curve $E$, such that the category ...

Sobolev Spaces over Loop Groups

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 1995
The author studies the properties of Ornstein-Uhlenbeck operators over loop groups which are naturally defined by the group structure. He establishes the hypoellipticity of the Laplacians acting on the space of tensors. By using this, he shows the essential self-adjointness of the Laplacians acting on the real valued function spaces.

A light‐triggered Time‐Resolved X‐ray Solution Scattering (TR‐XSS) workflow with application to protein conformational dynamics

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Time‐resolved X‐ray solution scattering captures how proteins change shape in real time under near‐native conditions. This article presents a practical workflow for light‐triggered TR‐XSS experiments, from data collection to structural refinement. Using a calcium‐transporting membrane protein as an example, the approach can be broadly applied to study ...

One-loop bosonic string and de Sitter space

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2019
We calculate the bosonic string one-loop three- and four-point amplitudes to quadradic order in momentum, and we read off the one-loop low-energy two-derivative effective action for the massless fields, Seff.
