Cis‐regulatory and long noncoding RNA alterations in breast cancer – current insights, biomarker utility, and the critical need for functional validation

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The noncoding region of the genome plays a key role in regulating gene expression, and mutations within these regions are capable of altering it. Researchers have identified multiple functional noncoding mutations associated with increased cancer risk in the genome of breast cancer patients.

Difference equations and integral families for Witten diagrams

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We show that tree-level and one-loop Mellin space correlators in anti-de Sitter space obey certain difference equations, which are the direct analog to the differential equations for Feynman loop integrals in the flat space.

Closed-loop control of k-space sampling via physiologic feedback for cine MRI.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
BackgroundSegmented cine cardiac MRI combines data from multiple heartbeats to achieve high spatiotemporal resolution cardiac images, yet predefined k-space segmentation trajectories can lead to suboptimal k-space sampling. In this work, we developed and

Two-loop radiative jet function for exclusive B-meson and Higgs decays

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
The rare radiative B-meson decay B − → γ ℓ − v ¯ $$ {B}^{-}\to \gamma {\mathrm{\ell}}^{-}\overline{v} $$ and the radiative Higgs-boson decay h → γγ mediated by light-quark loops both receive large logarithmic corrections in QCD, which can be resummed ...

Decompositions of looped co-𝐻-spaces [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the American Mathematical Society, 2012
We prove two homotopy decomposition theorems for the loops on simply-connected co- H H -spaces, including a generalization of the Hilton-Milnor Theorem. Several examples are given.

Potential therapeutic targeting of BKCa channels in glioblastoma treatment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes current insights into the role of BKCa and mitoBKCa channels in glioblastoma biology, their potential classification as oncochannels, and the emerging pharmacological strategies targeting these channels, emphasizing the translational challenges in developing BKCa‐directed therapies for glioblastoma treatment.

Constraining the loop quantum gravity parameter space from phenomenology

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2018
Development of quantum gravity theories rarely takes inputs from experimental physics. In this letter, we take a small step towards correcting this by establishing a paradigm for incorporating putative quantum corrections, arising from canonical quantum ...

One-loop string corrections to AdS amplitudes from CFT

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2021
We consider α′ corrections to the one-loop four-point correlator of the stress- tensor multiplets in N $$ \mathcal{N} $$ = 4 super Yang-Mills at order 1/N 4.

The Hilbert space of Chern-Simons theory on the cylinder. A Loop Quantum Gravity approach

open access: yes, 2009
As a laboratory for loop quantum gravity, we consider the canonical quantization of the three-dimensional Chern-Simons theory on a noncompact space with the topology of a cylinder.

Tumour–host interactions in Drosophila: mechanisms in the tumour micro‐ and macroenvironment

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review examines how tumour–host crosstalk takes place at multiple levels of biological organisation, from local cell competition and immune crosstalk to organism‐wide metabolic and physiological collapse. Here, we integrate findings from Drosophila melanogaster studies that reveal conserved mechanisms through which tumours hijack host systems to ...
