Oxford Medical Case Reports, 2023 ABSTRACTHydatidosis is a parasitic and zoonotic infection caused by the larval stage of Echinococcus granulosus. Cysts of this parasite involve almost all the organs of the human body, especially the liver and lungs. Asymptomatic cases may develop into symptomatic pulmonary hydatidosis due to the rupture of hydatid cysts.
