The use of environmental DNA (eDNA) as the sole input in current machine learning (ML) practices inherently limits the potential of ML for ecosystem biomonitoring and prediction. Using impact prediction across Switzerland's 163 biomonitoring sites as an example, a multimodal ML workflow combining eDNA and biogeographic data is introduced.

Abstract Verticillium wilt (VW) disease, caused by Verticillium dahliae Kleb., is a major threat to tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) production. Identifying loci associated with VW resistance can accelerate breeding efforts and support sustainable disease management. Although the Ve1 and Ve2 genes confer resistance to V.

Habitat‐forming species enhance biodiversity by providing shelter, substrate and feeding grounds for many species. Climate‐change effects on these species may have wide ranging impacts on local species richness and abundance. Warmer winter temperatures in particular are an important driver of demographic parameters in temperate to polar environments ...

The Loran-C Pseudorange Positioning and Timing Algorithm Based on the Vincenty Formula
To improve the positioning accuracy of the Loran system and meet the requirements of Loran/BDS integrated positioning and timing, it is necessary to enhance the traditional Loran hyperbolic positioning method, making its pseudorange calculation ...

The efficacy of genetic counseling for familial colorectal cancer: A meta‐analysis
Abstract Genetic counseling has been proven to be effective for several conditions in relation to outcomes such as risk perception and knowledge. By statistically combining data from individual studies, a meta‐analysis can provide a precise estimate of an intervention's overall effect.

A Needle in a Haystack: Landscape Survey and Archaeological Detection Experiments in Apalachee Bay
ABSTRACT This paper presents the results of a pilot landscape‐scale seismic survey undertaken in Apalachee Bay, Florida, across a submerged landscape that contains dozens of Pre‐Contact sites. In addition to the goals of improving the geophysical and remote sensing ground model for this submerged landscape, the survey also sought to undertake the first

Abstract Entire tidal food webs rely on the presence and productivity of benthic invertebrates. These invertebrates recycle nutrients, decompose organic matter, and function as food for myriad species at higher trophic levels. The interactions between benthic invertebrate species also play an important role in shaping the ecological functioning of ...

Algorithm for Taming Rubidium Atomic Clocks Based on Longwave (Loran-C) Timing Signals
This paper explores effective methods for taming rubidium atomic clocks with longwave timing signals. In an in-depth analysis of the time-difference data between the 1PPS timing signal output from the ground-wave signal received by a long-wave receiver ...
