The Lorentz force effect on the On-Off dynamo intermittency [PDF]
An investigation of the dynamo instability close to the threshold produced by an ABC forced flow is presented. We focus on the on-off intermittency behavior of the dynamo and the counter-effect of the Lorentz force in the non-linear stage of the dynamo ...

A Test Setup for the Characterization of Lorentz-Force MEMS Magnetometers
Lorentz-force MEMS magnetometers are interesting candidates for the replacement of magnetometers in consumer electronics products. Plenty of works in the literature propose MEMS magnetometers, their readout circuits and modulations.

Frequency Modulated Magnetometer Using a Double-Ended Tuning Fork Resonator
A Lorentz force MEMS magnetometer based on a double-ended tuning fork (DETF) for out-of-plane sensing is presented here. A novel configuration using a hexagonal-shaped Lorentz force transducer is used, which simplifies the sensor configuration and ...

Electromagnetic AC and impulse levitations of conductive, dielectric, and magnetic ball [PDF]
The paper presents an analytical solution of levitation problem for conductive, dielectric and magnetically anisotropic ball. The levitation exerts either an AC or impulse magnetic field.

Magneto-Seebeck effect in an ITO/PEDOT:PSS/Au thin-film device
This article reports giant magnetic field effects on the Seebeck coefficient by exerting a Lorentz force on charge diffusion based on vertical multi-layer ITO/PEDOT:PSS/Au thin-film devices.

Lorentz force particle analyzer [PDF]
A new contactless technique is presented for the detection of micron-sized insulating particles in the flow of an electrically conducting fluid. A transverse magnetic field brakes this flow and tends to become entrained in the flow direction by a Lorentz force, whose reaction force on the magnetic-field-generating system can be measured.

The mechanical advantage of the magnetosphere: solar-wind-related forces in the magnetosphere-ionosphere-Earth system [PDF]
Magnetosphere-ionosphere interactions involve electric currents that circulate between the two regions; the associated Lorentz forces, existing in both regions as matched opposite pairs, are generally viewed as the primary mechanism by which linear ...

Coupled electromagnetic and mechanical modeling and detection of buried objects
A time domain finite element (FE) framework was used to investigate the coupled electromagnetic (EM) and mechanical behavior of buried target systems. The coupling of the EM and mechanical fields is through using the Lorentz Force as the body force in ...
