Novel Earth‐Abundant Cu and Fe‐Based Chalcogenide Cocatalysts for Photocatalytic Hydrogen Evolution

open access: yesSolar RRL, Volume 9, Issue 16, August 2025.
We systematically investigate different nanomaterials based on abundant and inexpensive elements Cu and Fe as cocatalysts on TiO2 for the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction under simulated sunlight as well as under UV irradiation. We also show how further modifications, such as partial oxidation of sulfides or doping, can have a tremendous ...

Learning‐based motion artifact correction in the Z‐spectral domain for chemical exchange saturation transfer MRI

open access: yesMagnetic Resonance in Medicine, Volume 94, Issue 1, Page 331-345, July 2025.
Abstract Purpose To develop and evaluate a physics‐driven, saturation contrast‐aware, deep‐learning‐based framework for motion artifact correction in CEST MRI. Methods A neural network was designed to correct motion artifacts directly from a Z‐spectrum frequency (Ω) domain rather than an image spatial domain. Motion artifacts were simulated by modeling

Formation of Micrometer‐Sized Textured Hexagonal Silicon Crystals via Nanoindentation

open access: yesSmall Structures, Volume 6, Issue 6, June 2025.
This study presents the successful synthesis of micrometer‐sized, textured hexagonal silicon (hd‐Si) crystals through nanoindentation and annealing. Using advanced characterization techniques and simulations, a metastable R8/BC8 phase mixture in the as‐indented condition is revealed, which transforms into textured hd‐Si crystals after annealing.

Cholesterol Functionalized Nanoparticles Are Effective against Helicobacter pylori, the Gastric Bug: A Proof‐of‐Concept Study

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, Volume 14, Issue 10, April 15, 2025.
Helicobacter pylori gastric infection is widespread and recurrency is common, fuelled by bacterial resistance to antibiotics. Therefore, specific and noninducing resistance alternative treatments are an urgent need. Taking advantage of this gastric pathogen auxotrophy for cholesterol, a “trojan horse” strategy for H.

Single‐ and Three‐Photon Ionization of N2$$ {N}_2 $$ in Presence of Fano Resonances

open access: yesJournal of Computational Chemistry, Volume 46, Issue 7, March 15, 2025.
With upcoming high‐intensity attosecond light sources new theoretical approaches for multi‐photon interactions with molecular systems in the non‐perturbative and multi‐photon regime are needed. Solutions of the time‐dependent Schrödinger equation provide all this, but the massive involvement of continuum states necessitates a combination of Gaussian ...

Inter‐ and Intra‐Molecular Charge Redistributions in H‐Bonded Cyanuric Acid*Melamine (CA*M) Networks: Insight From Core Level Spectroscopy and Natural Bond Orbital Analysis

open access: yesChemistry – A European Journal, Volume 31, Issue 11, February 20, 2025.
The heteromolecular H‐bonding interaction between Cyanuric Acid (CA) and Melamine (M) involves two types of H‐bonds, where the two molecules alternatively act as H‐donors and H‐acceptors. However, the strengths of these interaction are unequal resulting in a net charge transfer from M to CA.

The Analysis of Vibrational Spectra: Past, Present and Future

open access: yesChemPlusChem, Volume 90, Issue 1, January 2025.
Vibrational spectroscopy started in the 1900s and has evolved ever since. Current analysis methods are largely based on density functional theory. In the future more complex methods of obtaining spectra will require another level of sophistication for their analysis. Abstract Vibrational spectroscopy can be said to have started with the seminal work of

Ricci‐Bourguignon Solitons With Certain Applications to Relativity

open access: yesJournal of Mathematics, Volume 2025, Issue 1, 2025.
This article concerns with the investigation of Ricci‐Bourguignon solitons and gradient Ricci‐Bourguignon solitons in perfect fluid space‐times and generalised Robertson–Walker space‐times. First, we deduce the criterion for which the Ricci‐Bourguignon soliton in a perfect fluid space‐time is steady, expanding or shrinking. Then, we establish that if a

Zero‐curvature subconformal structures and dispersionless integrability in dimension five

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 110, Issue 6, December 2024.
Abstract We extend the recent paradigm “Integrability via Geometry” from dimensions 3 and 4 to higher dimensions, relating dispersionless integrability of partial differential equations to curvature constraints of the background geometry. We observe that in higher dimensions on any solution manifold, the symbol defines a vector distribution equipped ...

Long‐range molecular energy transfer mediated by strong coupling to plasmonic topological edge states

open access: yesNanophotonics, Volume 13, Issue 25, Page 4555-4568, December 2024.
Abstract Strong coupling between light and molecular matter is currently attracting interest both in chemistry and physics, in the fast‐growing field of molecular polaritonics. The large near‐field enhancement of the electric field of plasmonic surfaces and their high tunability make arrays of metallic nanoparticles an interesting platform to achieve ...
