Alkali and alkaline earth element geochemistry of Los Humeros Caldera, Puebla, Mexico
Journal of Volcanology and Geothermal Research, 1984Abstract Results of the measurements of alkali (K, Rb and Cs) and alkaline earth (Ba and Sr) elements on seven pre-caldera and twenty post-caldera samples of Los Humeros volcanics (Pliocene to Recent) are described. These data are interpreted in terms of the known solid-liquid partition coefficients.

Chemical variations in hydrothermal minerals of the Los Humeros geothermal system, Mexico
Geothermics, 2002The Los Humeros geothermal system is composed of more than 2200 m of Quaternary altered volcanic rocks and an underlying Cretaceous sedimentary sequence. The low salinity of the fluids discharged at present (Na+ and Cl− concentrations 1800 m). Petrographic examination of cuttings from five wells and temperature data indicate at least two stages of ...

Geochemistry of boron in fluids of Los Humeros and Los Azufres hydrothermal systems, Mexico.
2010Separated water from geothermal wells of high-temperature geothermal fields Los Humeros and Los Azufres in Mexico are unusually rich in boron. According to the isotopic composition, boron in both fields has magmatic origin. Since the Los Humeros fluids, in contrast to Los Azufres, do not show any correlation between B and Cl and have Cl/B ?

Geochemical evidence for a lithospheric source for magmas from Los Humeros caldera, Puebla, Mexico
Chemical Geology, 2000Abstract This study reports new geochemical and Sr–Nd–Pb radiogenic isotope data on hy-normative Quaternary basaltic to rhyolitic volcanic rocks as well as two samples of Mesozoic to Palaeozoic intrusive igneous rocks from Los Humeros caldera (LHC), located in the eastern part of the Mexican Volcanic Belt (MVB).
