Periodica Polytechnica Transportation Engineering, 2008 Nowadays both airports and airlines are having serious problems related to Baggage Reconciliation. Many transfer baggages are directed to false destinations or simply getting lost during the flight procedures. Some of these however, get taken away by other passengers by mistake (due to similarities in baggages) or intentionally stolen.
