This study identifies Pirin (PIR), an iron‐binding protein, as a critical ferroptosis suppressor in colorectal cancer through lipid membrane remodeling. PIR, induced by NRF2 during ferroptotic stress, transcriptionally regulates PLA2G4A to shift cellular lipid composition away from ferroptosis‐permissive polyunsaturated phospholipids.

Loss reserving with kernel functions
Loss reserving is a fundamental concept of actuarial mathematics. A traditionally used method is the chain ladder method. While it is a simple and robust method and works well in many cases, it also has its limitations. The chain ladder method is applied to aggregated data triangle, in a way similar to constructing histograms.

This study identifies a novel thermoregulatory mechanism in rice: TOGR3 partners with 26S proteasome subunits, including TT1, to drive thermoresponsive ubiquitin–proteasome activity, maintaining sugar homeostasis in stomatal regulation to balance growth and stress resistance.

Structure‐Guided Engineering of a Cas12i Nuclease Unlocks Near‐PAMless Genome Editing
CRISPR‐Cas nucleases are limited by PAM requirements, restricting genome accessibility. Structure‐guided engineering of the compact Cas12i nuclease SF01 produced three variants with near‐PAMless, enabling efficient editing at diverse 5'‐NNTN‐3' sites. These nucleases expand the editable portion of the human genome more than fourfold, enabling efficient
