JPEG2000 ROI coding method with perfect fine-grain accuracy and lossless recovery

2009 Conference Record of the Forty-Third Asilomar Conference on Signals, Systems and Computers, 2009
Medical images have high spatial and high bit-depth resolution (12 bits per sample or more). These high resolutions allow computer-aided diagnosis, which are exploited by radiologists to identify relevant medical areas, known as Regions of Interest (ROI). In image compression, ROI coding allows to recover the ROI earlier than the rest of the image.

Passive lossless turn-on snubber energy recovery in high frequency power converters

Proceedings of IECON '93 - 19th Annual Conference of IEEE Industrial Electronics, 2002
This paper describes three passive lossless circuits for recovering turn-on snubber energy, which are applicable to high frequency power converters. The inductive trapped energy, which is load current dependent, is recovered into the DC supply, load or both, at switch turn-off.

Image secret sharing method with two-decoding-options: Lossless recovery and previewing capability

Image and Vision Computing, 2010
Visual cryptography scheme (VCS) is a research area in image secret sharing, where one can easily stack shadow images and decode a black-and-white secret image through the human visual system without computation. Although VCS does not provide a competitive reconstruction quality, its stacking-to-see property clearly has the intended applications.

On the lossless image recovery analysis of cyclic shift and chaotic system based image encryption

2017 International Conference on Computer Communication and Informatics (ICCCI), 2017
Image encryption is being adopted as a secure strategy to protect the confidential images across the information sharing arena. Scrambling process plays an important role in achieving better confusion during the image encryption. An image encryption scheme based on cyclic shift and chaotic system has been proposed by Wang X-Y et al, 2015 [1].

Φ‑Field Information Refolding via Recursive Field Reconstruction: Lossy to Lossless Recovery Model

This paper introduces a Φ‑field‑based recursive field reconstruction framework capable of reversing traditionally lossy processes—such as JPEG image compression, MP3 audio quantization, and physical information decay—into perfectly recovered original states.
