The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

A Horizon Decomposition Approach for the Capacitated Lot-Sizing Problem with Setup Times

open access: yesINFORMS journal on computing, 2016
We introduce horizon decomposition in the context of Dantzig-Wolfe decomposition, and apply it to the capacitated lot-sizing problem with setup times. We partition the problem horizon in contiguous overlapping intervals and create subproblems identical ...

Note—Lot-Sizing and Sequencing Delays [PDF]

open access: yesManagement Science, 1987
In production scheduling, time performance is usually taken to be the province of sequencing models which take task processing times to be given. However, in practice, processing times can often be controlled by the choice of lot sizes which thus have a major impact on makespan, waiting times, flow times and other measures.

In situ molecular organization and heterogeneity of the Legionella Dot/Icm T4SS

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We present a nearly complete in situ model of the Legionella Dot/Icm type IV secretion system, revealing its central secretion channel and identifying new components. Using cryo‐electron tomography with AI‐based modeling, our work highlights the structure, variability, and mechanism of this complex nanomachine, advancing understanding of bacterial ...

Sequence determinants of RNA G‐quadruplex unfolding by Arg‐rich regions

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We show that Arg‐rich peptides selectively unfold RNA G‐quadruplexes, but not RNA stem‐loops or DNA/RNA duplexes. This length‐dependent activity is inhibited by acidic residues and is conserved among SR and SR‐related proteins (SRSF1, SRSF3, SRSF9, U1‐70K, and U2AF1).

PENGARUH PENENTUAN JUMLAH PEMESANAN PADA BULLWHIP EFFECT

open access: yesJ@ti Undip: Jurnal Teknik Industri, 2017
Bullwhip effect adalah suatu kondisi dimana terjadi peningkatan variasi permintaan dalam suatu rantai pasok. Bullwhip effect ini dapat diakibatkan oleh beberapa faktor salah satunya yaitu jumlah pemesanan.

A Polynomial Time Algorithm for a Deterministic Joint Pricing and Inventory Model [PDF]

open access: yes, 2003
In this paper we consider the uncapacitated economic lot-size model, where demand is a deterministic function of price. In the model a single price need to be set for all periods.
