Lot Streaming Technique in Job-Shop Environment [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of the 2005 IEEE International Symposium on, Mediterrean Conference on Control and Automation Intelligent Control, 2005., 2005
Applying lot streaming (LS) technique, a new approach is applied to determine LS conditions in job-shop scheduling problem (JSP) using genetic algorithms (GA). LS approach allows a job (lot) to be split into a number of smaller sub-jobs (sub-lots) so that successive operations of the same job can be overlapped.

N-job, m-macine lot streaming problem with learning effects [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
The abilities of workers for performing same or similar tasks can be improved by repeating them. This phenomenon is recognized as learning effects. Many researches performed on the effects of learning in scheduling problems.

Integration of lot sizing and flow shop scheduling with lot streaming [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
We will develop a mathematical model for the integration of lot sizing and flow shop scheduling with lot streaming. We will develop a mixed-integer linear model for multiple products lot sizing and lot streaming problems.

Optimal streaming of a single job in a two-stage flow shop [PDF]

open access: yes, 1998
Cataloged from PDF version of article.Lot streaming is moving some portion of a process batch ahead to begin a downstream operation. The problem to be considered in this paper is the following: a single job consisting of U units is to be processed on ...

Lot Splitting in Stochastic Flow Shop and Job Shop Environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 1996
In recent years many firms have been implementing small lot size production. Lot splitting breaks large orders into smaller transfer lots and offers the ability to move parts more quickly through the production process.

Genetic based discrete particle swarm optimization for elderly day care center timetabling [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
The timetabling problem of local Elderly Day Care Centers (EDCCs) is formulated into a weighted maximum constraint satisfaction problem (Max-CSP) in this study. The EDCC timetabling problem is a multi-dimensional assignment problem, where users (elderly)
