Loudspeaker enclosure for a vibrating diaphragm loudspeaker
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1989A loudspeaker system employing a diaphragm type loudspeaker mounted in an opening in one of a plurality of walls of a hollow enclosure, the walls of the enclosure consisting of a plurality of layers disposed between surfaces thereof, the layers comprising a plurality of elongated strands of wood in a mass of solid resin, the axes of elongation of the ...

Spatial Acoustic Scenarios in Multichannel Loudspeaker Systems for Hearing Aid Evaluation.
Journal of american academy of audiology, 2016BACKGROUND Field tests and guided walks in real environments show that the benefit from hearing aid (HA) signal processing in real-life situations is typically lower than the predicted benefit found in laboratory studies.

Magnetostrictive microelectromechanical loudspeaker
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2013A microelectromechnical-loudspeaker based on the magnetostrictive effect is presented. The membrane consists of a comb structure of monomorph bending cantilevers with an area of about 16 mm2. Prototypes generate a sound pressure level (SPL) of up to 102 dB at 450 Hz with a total harmonic distortion of 2% inside a 2 cm3 measurement volume.

A convolution model for computing the far-field directivity of a parametric loudspeaker array.
Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2015This paper describes a method to compute the far-field directivity of a parametric loudspeaker array (PLA), whereby the steerable parametric loudspeaker can be implemented when phased array techniques are applied.

A micromachined efficient parametric array loudspeaker with a wide radiation frequency band.
Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 2015Parametric array (PA) loudspeakers generate directional audible sound via the PA effect, which can make private listening possible. The practical applications of PA loudspeakers include information technology devices that require large power efficiency ...

Loudspeaker enclosure with acoustically coupled loudspeaker damper
The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, 1979A loudspeaker system is described in which a driven speaker is acoustically coupled in the speaker enclosure with a variable acoustical damper, the damper having an acoustical cone, the movement of which is dampened by an induction coil connected across variable resistance means.
