Optimization of a Fixed Virtual Sensing Feedback ANC Controller for In-Ear Headphones with Multiple Loudspeakers [PDF]
In this paper we consider an in-ear headphone equipped with an inner microphone and multiple loudspeakers and we propose an optimization procedure with a convex objective function to derive a fixed multi-loudspeaker ANC controller aiming at minimizing the sound pressure at the ear drum.

Model-based estimation of in-car-communication feedback applied to speech zone detection [PDF]
Modern cars provide versatile tools to enhance speech communication. While an in-car communication (ICC) system aims at enhancing communication between the passengers by playing back desired speech via loudspeakers in the car, these loudspeaker signals may disturb a speech enhancement system required for hands-free telephony and automatic speech ...

On the Frequency Response of Nanostructured Thermoacoustic Loudspeakers
In this work, we investigate the thermal and acoustic frequency responses of nanostructured thermoacoustic loudspeakers. An opposite frequency dependence of thermal and acoustic responses was found independently of the device substrate (Kapton and glass)

Speaker Placement Agnosticism: Improving the Distance-based Amplitude Panning Algorithm [PDF]
Lossius et. al introduced the distance-based amplitude panning algorithm, or DBAP, to enable flexibility of loudspeaker placement in artistic and scientific contexts. The algorithm allows for arbitrary loudspeaker locations in a 2D plane so that a virtual sound source may navigate the 2D space. The gains for each speaker are calculated as a function of

Electrostatic graphene loudspeaker [PDF]
Graphene has extremely low mass density and high mechanical strength, and key qualities for efficient wide-frequency-response electrostatic audio speaker design. Low mass ensures good high frequency response, while high strength allows for relatively large free-standing diaphragms necessary for effective low frequency response.

Improved Panning on Non-Equidistant Loudspeakers with Direct Sound Level Compensation [PDF]
Loudspeaker rendering techniques that create phantom sound sources often assume an equidistant loudspeaker layout. Typical home setups might not fulfill this condition as loudspeakers deviate from canonical positions, thus requiring a corresponding calibration.
