How Differing Audiences Were Associated with User Emotional Expression on a Well‐Being App [PDF]

open access: yesHuman Behavior and Emerging Technologies, Volume 2022, Issue 1, 2022., 2022
In the last five years, there has been an explosion of mobile apps that aim to impact emotional well‐being, yet limited research has examined the ways that users interact, and specifically write to develop a therapeutic alliance within these apps. Writing is a developmental practice in which a narrator transforms amorphous thoughts and emotions into ...

pH dependencies of glycolytic enzymes of yeast under in vivo‐like assay conditions [PDF]

open access: yesThe FEBS Journal, Volume 289, Issue 19, Page 6021-6037, October 2022., 2022
Under carbon source transitions, S. cerevisiae can experience intracellular pH dynamics. Such fluctuations can potentially affect glycolytic fluxes and therefore growth. This work shows how glucose dynamics affect intracellular pH and how glycolytic and ethanol brunch enzyme activity is influenced by pH.

Human Platelets Take up Anti‐VEGF Agents [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Ophthalmology, Volume 2021, Issue 1, 2021., 2021
Purpose. Growing evidence suggests different systemic exposure of anti‐vascular endothelial growth factor (anti‐VEGF) agents with repeated intravitreal application. Since the penetration of anti‐VEGF agents through vascular barrier was reported, the interaction of anti‐VEGF with nonresident platelets has become a topic of interest.

Seasonal Seismic Velocity Variations Measured Using Seismic Noise Autocorrelations to Monitor the Dynamic of Aquifers in Greece

open access: yesJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, Volume 128, Issue 12, December 2023., 2023
Abstract Monitoring groundwater levels in aquifers is crucial for water resources management on a global scale. In Greece, water stress is particularly high due to the expansion of agricultural land, urbanization and tourism, leading to aquifer over‐exploitation.

Dynamic Two‐Phase Flow Modeling of Melt Segregation in Continental Crust: Batholith Emplacement Versus Crustal Convection, With Implications for Magmatism in Thickened Plateaus

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 24, Issue 5, May 2023., 2023
Abstract Magmatic processes in the continental crust such as crustal convection, melt ascent, magma emplacement, and batholith formation are not well understood. We solve the conservation equations for mass, momentum, and energy for two‐phase flow of melt and solid in 2D, for a thick continental crust heated from below by one or several heat pulses.

Genome-wide association study and gene expression analysis identifies CD84 as a predictor of response to etanercept therapy in rheumatoid arthritis.

open access: yesPLoS Genetics, 2013
Anti-tumor necrosis factor alpha (anti-TNF) biologic therapy is a widely used treatment for rheumatoid arthritis (RA). It is unknown why some RA patients fail to respond adequately to anti-TNF therapy, which limits the development of clinical biomarkers ...
